As Senior Manager at BD ROWA you will be accountable for all Supply Chain and Procurement activities of assigned product portfolio. Furthermore you will minimize processing and procurement costs, achieve and secure timely material availability and optimize inventory. This includes:

  • Procurement activities, forecasting, capacity/demand balancing, execution oversight, monitoring and reporting of results to management

  • Lead and facilitate S&OP process for a given business segment in order to align market and financial requirements with manufacturing capabilities

  • Play part within the global BD network to leverage the international supply chain and purchasing competencies for local improvements

Essential job functions:

  • Accountable for oversight of the total supply chain from vendors to delivery of product on customer site in order to achieve customer service goals on time in full.

  • Lead and manage multiple teams of Procurement and Supply Chain Experts by recruiting, training, mentoring, and rewarding for high levels of company contribution.

  • Enable continuous development of the supplier base in terms of adequate growth, service excellence and risk management through strong and trustful relationships.

  • Leverage Lean Concepts and Six Sigma tools to develop and effectively implement advanced Supply Chain solutions, processes, and systems improvements.

  • Partner with Product Management, Sales, Operations functions, R&D and Finance to develop and implement feasible and successful international new product launches.

  • Track and report performance metrics on a weekly and monthly basis.

  • Leverage Advance Planning and ERP technologies to provide full WIP and product visibility through the supply chain.

  • Develop and Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Process for assigned portfolio.

  • Provide personal development and learning opportunities that support individual subordinate growth and career development

What is expected of you for success in your role

You have a Master degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations required; MBA preferred. A minimum of 7 years Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Operations, as well as a minimum of 4 years people management are required. Furthermore:

  • Advanced Lean Management experience desired

  • Previous strategic and operational procurement experience required; distribution, inventory, and lifecycle management recommended

  • International experience is helpful

Desirable qualifications skills and must-have knowledge:

  • Strong analytical, project management, and consulting skills, with the ability to influence, work effectively, and implement solutions in a cross-functional team environment

  • Demonstration of strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word); ERP/MRP APS systems experience is a plus

  • 20% Travel is required
