BD’s Global Customer Support - Business and Customer Analytics team is responsible for developing, quantifying and evaluating the transformation of internal and external information into business intelligence to support the strategic objectives of the Global Customer Support organization and drive operational excellence. Includes data and technology management (data acquisition, mining, analysis, data integrity management, metrics management and reporting.) We are looking for a Business Intelligence/Data Quality Analyst that can develop and execute automated/manual test cases against business requirements/functional designs. This person will work across businesses/technologies and ensure solutions meet business requirements and demonstrate experience in developing and executing complex test cases in a Data Warehouse, Reporting and Analytics environment. This person will also perform administration, reporting and analysis tasks to support other Business Intelligence (BI) systems and processes as needed.

This person will work across businesses/technologies and ensure solutions meet business requirements and demonstrate experience in developing and executing complex test cases in a Data Warehouse, Reporting and Analytics environment. This person will also perform administration, reporting and analysis tasks to support other Business Intelligence (BI) systems and processes as needed.

What is expected of you for success in your role

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of concepts and principles of business metrics and analytical techniques/tools, including their application in executing effective data management and reporting

  • Creates business analytics and reporting by synthesizing information from multiple sources of data

  • Ensures data quality of BI solutions through data source to target and business logic validation/testing

  • Provides customers a quality experience through effective communication; listens to internal/external customers' needs and takes actions to meet them

  • Strong SQL query skills.

  • Knowledge of BI and data warehouse methodology and concepts.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint

  • Strong English communications skills, both written and verbal, good self-starter, strong troubleshooting/analysis skills, ability to proactively manage projects tasks.

  • Must have strong ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

  • At least 1 year experience in creating test cases using SQL Server

  • Customer service, problem solving and analytical skills required

  • Experience with Customer Service Operations reporting/analytics a plus

  • Experience with Agile Development Methodology a plus
