Purpose: To identifying continuous improvement opportunities, understanding the impact to BD’s core processes and organizational objectives, prioritizing opportunities, and developing solid recommendations for new improvement project implementation across BD.

Main Responsibilities

  • Works directly with executive and director level business leaders to identify continuous improvement opportunities and gains an understanding impact to process and operations

  • Builds strong partnerships across business, regions, and central teams at all levels of the organization.

  • Uses data to prioritize multiple opportunities across BD and develops solid recommendations for process improvements to drive financial and non-financial objectives.

  • Partners with executive and director level business leaders to understand the strategic objectives and drivers for major business change initiatives and define the tactical approaches to determine projects/programs to realize these objectives

  • Uses data to develop root causes and conducts process analysis to identify opportunities (to deliver on cost, quality, compliance, safety and other business goals) across business segments, regions, and functions

  • Provides timely and effective project management to deliver on business commitments

  • Creates management reports and executive presentations to keep leadership and stakeholders up to date with status inclusive of schedule, budget and expected benefits

  • Demonstrates management courage to articulate risks and challenges of initiatives

  • Mentors, coaches, and trains others within Process Excellence and CI team and associates across BD globally to drive a culture of business process excellence.

  • Plans and executes change management activities related to each assigned project inclusive of communicating successful stories

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

  • 5 years continuous improvement and lean experience, including driving significant value across organization

  • 5 years overall project management experience, including experience driving medium to large sized projects from initiation through closure

  • 5 years working with cross-functional teams

  • 3-5 years overall experience managing teams
