BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Integration Engineer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Description Summary

The Integration Engineer is responsible for providing HL7 Integration support for pharmacy, materials management and related healthcare systems for BD Dispensing customers.

The position will focus on providing technical integration support (HL7) for Customers and BD teams for Pyxis Dispensing platforms as it relates to Hospital and IDN workflow expectations. The Engineer will also collaborate closely with local Integration and System Engineers, Technical Support teams and HealthCare providers.

Job Description

  • Day to Day Activities:

  • Resolve system-wide Integration outages for HealthCare providers

  • Research and provide a solution to customers and Field engineers related to integration requests

  • Respond and Address Customer integration questions

  • Test and apply integration change requests for ADT, Orders, Billing

  • Adjust and create Replenishment triggered events

  • Install the required OS and product-specific patches/Hotfixes

  • Perform Bill recovery functions

  • Schedule and perform Interface IP, port, Host connection changes

  • Assist with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when required

  • Build and maintain Product knowledge of BD Care Coordination Engine platform Communication/Collaboration:

  • Ability to host and/or participate in technical integration client meetings via WebEx/Skype

  • Attend and participate in team meetings

  • Ability to write and communicate Technical information to a non-technical and technical audience

  • Review and utilize internal documentation to research and resolve integration requests

  • Ability to collaborate with peers, Senior and Principle Integration Engineers to resolve Integration requests

  • Actively participate in training opportunities targeted for Integration Engineer learning and development Administrative

  • Maintain customer documentation and backup files

  • Utilize CRM system (SAP/Salesforce) to document all incident and troubleshooting steps

  • Adhere to the internal documentation quality standards

  • Additional Job Description Required Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Information Technology

  • 2+ years of HL7 and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) interface knowledge required

  • 3+ years of Diagnosing and resolved Windows Server-based issues including reviewing event logs

  • 3+ years of VMWare and/or Hyper-V experience required

  • 3+ years of networking concepts and commands (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) Preferred Qualifications:

  • CCNA or CompTIA Network+ MCSA: SQL DB Administration

  • MCSA: SQL Server 2012/2014

  • HL7 certification a plus

  • CompTIA Server+ Wireshark experience a plus

  • Clinical workflow experience a plus

  • Pyxis platform experience a plus

  • Experience/exposure with Cerner, Epic, Siemens, MEDITECH, MEDHOST, VistA, Talyst or other hospital systems is a plus

  • Help Desk experience a plus
