Job Description

About the role:

We are looking for our next Global and Strategic Accounts Marketing Leader, who will design and develop the marketing strategy for our largest and most strategically important accounts.

In this position, you will work with our Global Account Directors to set strategic and tactical directions to support and grow these accounts. This includes performing market analysis, defining and executing an omnichannel strategy and supporting commercial excellence. You will lead a team of Account Based Marketeer(s).

Sitting on both the Global Accounts and Marketing leadership teams, this role reports to the VP Marketing for the Business Unit, with a close collaboration with the VP of Global & Strategic Accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the annual Key Accounts Marketing Plans including the conversion of the marketing plan into Key Driver Goals with clear ownership and timelines.

  • Influence the global Pharmaceutical Systems (PS) business strategy to drive accelerated growth in the accounts and determine resource needs to achieve growth targets.

  • Support the VP Global and Strategic Accounts with the definition and communication of the Key Accounts strategy.

  • Work with customer facing teams, the product platforms, and the Portfolio Marketing & Strategic Insights Team to articulate actionable insights from market and competitive intelligence.

  • Improve understanding of the market and where the largest opportunities are for innovation and R&D funnel, working with regional marketing team and platforms.

  • Collaborate with the Global Marketing and Commercial Excellence team as well as the various key account functions to capture customer feedback and translate into impactful Customer Experience Initiatives.

  • Work with the Strategic Innovation, Technical Service, R&D and commercial teams to identify the most impactful technical engagement needs.

  • Ensure the Omni-Channel strategy and account-centric digital marketing approach is effectively used to drive demand in the accounts.

About you:

We seek an experienced marketing leader with a proven record developing marketing strategies and tactics for major, global accounts- preferably in the life sciences/pharmaceutical industry.

The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities, as well as marketing expertise. Crucial to success in this role will be the ability to drive strategy and take a proactive as opposed to reactive role in securing the commercial success of our Global Accounts.

Other key qualities include:

  • Demonstrated experience in identifying Market Opportunities, Market Segmentation, Targeted Marketing, Competitive Analysis, Pricing Strategy, Sales enablement and Go to Market tactics

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and cross-functional participation with the capability to manage internal and external partners.

  • Previous experience in Digital Demand Generation or Account-based Marketing preferred

  • Experience in strategic account marketing to enterprise accounts preferred

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong presentation, selling, and negotiation skills.

  • Thrives in an ambiguous environment.
