An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our « Supplier Manufacturing Operations (Worldwide SMO) » department as Supplier Performance Manager.

Job Description

In this role you will be in charge to run supplier performance and continuous improvement tools & methods to match our imperatives.

These continuous improvement methods and tools are used systematically to support the development of our suppliers globally. In a transverse and multicultural environment, you will work on industrial aspects, in close relationship with internal departments such as Procurement, Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA), Mold Validation & Assurance of Supply and Regional supply chain teams in all manufacturing sites, located worldwide. Our suppliers are located in the same regions than our manufacturing sites.

Our suppliers’ performance is crucial to our global operations success for customer service, quality, project management and cost.

In cooperation with plants, and in support of global functions that are accountable for supplier performance, you will coordinate the definition and review of:

  • performance metrics & goals (delivery performance, capacity, leadtime, cost, inventory, flows…),

  • continuous improvement plans at critical suppliers,

  • dashboard regarding metrics deployment and improvement plans completion

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible to deploy these tools & methods with all plants, all regions and for all critical suppliers:

  • Define and deploy standards performance metrics in collaboration with Quality (SQA), Procurement and plants

  • Supervise supplier performance, align with standards & routines and establish calendar of performance & improvement plans reviews with each supplier

  • Identify performance gaps and identify true root cause

  • Handle performance recovery plans with related needs, in line with category leaders and support services

  • Review/adjust performance metrics, maintain data accuracy and communicate performance metrics and dashboard to all partners and components categories

  • Manage supplier continuous improvement actions plan (identification of standard methodologies from suppliers, facilitate internal CI committee...)

  • Lead supplier audits for new sourcing and make or buy activity (Operations element)

  • Deploy Supplier Logistic Agreements and participate in Supplier Selection process for NPI, capacity expansion and projects...

  • Ensure appropriate staffing and oversight of Supplier Performance function, ensuring sufficient capabilities and skills to support the objectives of the group. Provide mentorship and management, ensuring individual development and growth

  • Create and structure a dotted line reporting between SMO and plants

Who are you?

Ideally coming from an Engineering or Master background in Supply Chain or in procurement, you have a proven experience of minimum 5 years in project and/or program management and end-to-end Supply-Chain activities with associated processes in the industry and suppliers. You have also a solid understanding of continuous improvement tools and methods (Lean, 6sigma, Investigation - problem solving).

  • Influencer/ networker in a complex partner landscape, strong communication skills in a multicultural environment

  • Proficiency in English is required, additional languages such as French or Spanish would be a strong plus
