Job Description Summary

With innovative pre-fillable syringes, self-injection systems, safety systems and needle technologies, the Pharmaceutical Systems (PS) team offer an extensive selection of solutions designed to protect, package and deliver drug therapies.

We have a newly created Associate Director, Quality Excellence position to join PS and manage the 6 people from the Quality Excellence department in charge of quality system / continuous improvement and data analysis.This role is located in Grenoble area with hybrid model of office base and remote working.

Reporting to the Quality System Director, the Associate Director, Quality Excellence is directing Data analytics and Quality Excellence strategy and associated activities for BD Pharmaceutical Systems. This position is responsible for identifying, developing, and applying quantitative methods and tools to improve processes performance, develop and execute strategic quality projects.

The Associate Director, Quality Excellence proposes and translates business strategy into actionable roadmap - including digital technology. She / He drives execution to generate targeted outcome and set up effective and sustainable operating model to support process efficiency over time.

The position partners closely with relevant Business Process Owners to drive development and implementation of robust Risk Management practices, identify and execute against business process improvement projects.

The position supports the development of sustainable processes, data architecture strategies and data analytics capability. She /He supports the implementation of new IT technologies and Digital systems.

The position is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in the principles, concepts, and deployment of Data Analytics, and Continuous Improvement strategy

Job Description

Your main responsibilities:

Apply business expertise to the definition and use of metrics that measure, control, and improve PS defined processes

Ensure rigorous analytics are actively and routinely applied to the assessment of all QMS Processes

Ensure that internal/external customers have advance analytical information that drives abilities to analyze, model, monitor and improve quality across all levels of the QMS processes

Partner with Business Process Owners and Quality Leads:

To use process performance data and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement

To support effective root cause analysis investigations of reported Quality Event or Audit observation

To provide overall Continuous Improvement and project management support for key business process improvements from planning through full implementation,

Partner with functions -e.g., IT- to ensure Quality data strategy is followed, and data are available for required analyses

Supports application of an effective Quality Risk Management framework within the organization

Champion a quality and performance-based culture within the company where decision-making, process control and risk mitigation are based on appropriate data

Responsible to define and drive the strategical projects required to transform the business in terms of “quality as a business enabler”. Work with the right TGS-IT partners to succeed in their implementation in accordance with business needs.

Accountable to work with the Finance Organization through the ASR process to ensure funding is secured for the implementation of the Quality excellence roadmap and related digital strategy.

Ensure best practices and processes are applied for consistent delivery of the projects under her/ his responsibility.

Accountable to define and drive CI projects for expected profits and benefices

Plays a significant role in the development of operating providing data analyzes. Contribute to the development of platform strategies

Frequently interacts with BDM-PS Directors, Associate Directors, and Managers. Often must lead a cooperative effort among Pharm Systems leadership team members. Interacts with BDX and Medical segment leadership team.

Your profile:

We are looking for a Quality Excellence, Associate Director with a proven track of records on continuous improvement projects and quality excellence initiatives (Lean, six sigma certification...).

You have professional experience in the quality organization of a medical device and/or pharmaceutical company or in a strong regulatory environment.

You have extensive knowledge of FDA QSR, ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 standards.

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

You have significant people and team management experience and Project Management skills.
