Job Description Summary

The BP&A Country Team is the single source of trusted data when it relates to the P&L (BP&A Country Partners) and to cost center (BP&A Country Analysts). The BP&A Country Partner is responsible for driving country strategy & business planning activities in collaboration with the Country Business Leaders, the BP&A Country Analysts, and the Country Controller.

The primary objective is to support the country growth strategies by providing effective Business Partnering (support decision making), by providing standardized processes & reporting and by excellent FP&A activities. A key expectation for this role is to actively support the country controller, country general manager and country business leader for all 3 Segments (Medical, Lifescience and Interventional). Therefore, its key to build and maintain a high performing finance team of Country Controller, BP&A Country Partners, BP&A Country Analysts and Country Revenue Planners.

The support is required for all Legal Entities (BD and Bard legacies) within the Country Finance hub. This support is materialised by the full ownership of the complete P&L of hub, and requires strong coordination with COE Country Analysts, Revenue Planners and other stakeholders, to drive the business and capture the right performance information.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

• Be a trusted business partner and an active voice in the Country Finance hub

• Provide guidance and leadership (incl. mentoring, coaching and motivation) to analysts in the BP&A team and lead by example eg BD Core Values and BD Leadership Standard; Provide support to the BP&A leaders

Insight & Analysis:

• Support our internal customers to align business and strategy

• Drive revenue growth management activities and cost management

• Review and sign-off on critical FP&A deliverables (Budget, Projections, ASR)

• Interpret BP&A analysis to drive decisions

Country Finance Performance:

• Value driver, KPI and management reporting

• Business analytics and data management

• Manage business workflow with Operations and COE

• Ensure integrity and compliance (i.e. GAAP & Policies) of business process and advocate ethical behavior

Strategic Planning:

• Review monthly results and provide analysis

• Challenge and question the business team to drive better decision

• Analyze scenario modelling to consider future outcomes

Stakeholder Management:

• Serve as primary liaison between operating partners and COE

• Review COE deliverables

• Promote & train best practices within EMEA region

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, finance or equivalent related work experience

Skills and Competencies:

  • Teamplayer: Is able to quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of the team

  • Learning agility: Is effective at learning new industry, company, product or technical knowledge

  • Communication : Ability to determine and articulate a long-range vision and strategy

  • Problem solving: Looks beyond the obvious and doesn’t stop at the first answers

  • Good written and verbal communication skills including presentations in English
