Job Description

About the role:

This is a brand new role within our Medical Affairs organization, focused on supporting Innovation of new products, technologies and solutions. This role will help drive the innovation, thought leadership, safety and efficacy of all products within the business unit.

Reporting directly to the Pharmaceutical Systems (PS) Medical Affairs Leader, you will support the Medical Affairs and Innovation teams in providing medical, scientific and customer-focused leadership and strategic perspectives to differentiate our portfolio of products and services.

The Medical Affairs Innovation Leader will also work closely with PS Medical Affairs leadership team as well as worldwide business teams to align prioritized product, educational and clinical strategies to support PS value-based strategies and new business opportunities.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with all members of the Innovation team to advance the impact, quality and growth of PS portfolio

  • Provide subject matter expertise and thought partnership in the development of clinical content to support solutions

  • Maintain excellent knowledge of the unmet patient/user needs, as well as ability to keep up to date with the constantly evolving health industry (drugs, diseases, therapies, emerging needs….)

  • Partner with industry working groups and clinician leaders around preclinical / human factors / clinical strategy for combination products

  • Supply and influence strategic direction for senior leadership using informal and formal communication

  • Partner with PS Business Development and Medical Affairs LT for evaluating licensing, partnership or acquisition opportunities.

  • Team member as needed for specific innovation projects (includes execution of some early-stage studies: toxicology, human factors….)

About you:

We seek a highly innovative and forward thinking professional, who is capable of being a true strategic partner to our Innovation function and the wider Business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone in a Medical Affairs function today, who is particularly passionate about innovation, or someone in with a Scientific/Medical background who feels they can make real impact in this space.

An excellent knowledge in Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry is required, as is a strong scientific background (PhD, PharmD, MD).

Experience of preclinical, toxicology, clinicals or Human Factors and B2B experience is highly desirable.

  • Fluent in English mandatory (written and verbal), French fluency is a plus

  • Ability and willingness to travel 20% of time as needed.
