The position requires the ability to handle multiple workstreams, from product inception through product launch and maintenance. In addition, this position will play an active role in the processes to ensure products meet quality standards consistent with both corporate and unit policies, while meeting all design control and other regulatory requirements.

Job Description

Working with the Global Design Assurance Leader for Pont de Claix Design Center, you support a multi-functional project team involved within the development of new products (primary containers - ie glass syringes).

You are responsible for combining design control expertise, creative problem-solving approaches, and strong analytical skills to support new product development, product transfer and product maintenance using quality engineering skills including, design control, process validation, measurement system analysis, and root cause analysis. It requires the ability to balance multiple workstreams, from product inception through product launch and maintenance.

Main responsibilities will include:

To be the entry point for all quality aspects from product definition up to transfer:

  • Ensure design control elements are satisfied

  • Lead risk management activities

  • Collaborate with R&D and Engineering to develop requirements and perform components integration within the process

  • Provide functional support to other multi-functional teams (Medical, Regulatory, other quality functions…)

  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Plants

  • Define product control strategy

  • Assist/conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving sessions

  • Ensure/ support process validation activities

  • Develop/ perform supplier qualification plans have been defined and completed

  • Ensure test methods have been developed and transferred

  • Support customer facing teams by providing technical support from a quality perspective, as needed

  • Provide support to internal, regulatory body and customer audits and associated corrective actions

To take a lead role in carrying out business/operating plans:

  • Lead worldwide activities related to quality topics (projects, improvement…) in a multi-functional environment (WW functions, plants…)

  • Lead quality WW harmonization between plants via product transfer projects

  • Escalate major quality issues

About you

Post graduate degree in material, biochemistry, pharmacy, biology (…) with a proven experience in quality, validation, and project management, preferably in the medical devices industry Healthcare/Pharmaceutical/Biologics/Medical Devices)

  • Advanced understanding of product development and industrial transfer

  • Good knowledge of Statistical Methods for Quality Assurance, Process Validation, Design Control and experience in FMEA/Risk Management.

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Fluent in English

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills
