Job Description
BD is looking for a Scientist with expertise in Flow Cytometry to join in Product Owner role delivering software products supporting the patient care continuum to join their Biosciences function. You will be responsible for a software product that goes into BD FACSDuet, Sample Preparation System combines automation, simplicity, and consistency. Physically integrated with the BD FACSLyric flow cytometer, this complete walkaway sample-to-answer solution is helping to drive laboratory to higher productivity and accuracy in results by minimising manual intervention.
What you will do
As part of clinical solution team, you will work in a highly collaborative agile environment with the other product owners, the development team, systems team, external vendors, QA and with the product leadership in San Jose. Your job will include:
Facilitate requirements analysis sessions with project stakeholders. Collaborate to create user personas, workflows, product features and manage a prioritized backlog.
Manage functional and non-functional requirements artifacts and functional specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide analysis and support to enable software development teams design and implement best user solutions, and to understand how the clinical customers interact with the system.
Document user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria, workflows and wireframes that will be used to UI/UX design and development
Work collaboratively with the development team and lead architect/technical lead to determine technical direction and approach to system design and implementation.
Gain and maintain flow cytometry domain knowledge – attend conferences, understand the user domain.
Your experience
BS or higher within Science, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Extensive flow cytometry knowledge and/or experience as a product owner in the medical devices that are designed for clinical customers
Writing specifications and presenting to senior stakeholders
Experience in medical device industry or any regulated industry
Understanding clinical customer needs and workflow
Working and leading in a matrix-based multinational organization
Experience in change management and project management
