BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Data Management Specialist in Lyngby, Denmark
Job Description Summary
Location: Sweden, Denmark or Norway, close to a major airport
As a Data Management Specialist reporting to our Business Development Manager Nordic, WH & Molecular, you’ll be supporting customers within the Nordic countries on the BD Integrated Diagnostic Solutions middleware and related IT connectivity activities. You will be accountable for the middleware system implementation and integration into the customer IT infrastructure, including network, LIS and instrument connections in collaboration with the application support and field service teams. You will be managing upgrades, maintenance, problem resolution and troubleshooting of the BD IDS (mainly BD EpiCenter and BD Synapsys) middleware solutions both on-site and remotely.
You’ll be also accountable for:
Providing support to customers by phone, e-mail or during on-site customer visits.
Participating in connecting BD instruments into BD middleware in co-operation with BD technical service teams.
Participating in implementing and maintaining remote support connections as required in collaboration with application support and technical service teams.
Ensuring that mandatory/regulatory updates (FCA, FCN, etc.) are properly and timely implemented.
Taking active part of the Synapsys migration process by supporting account managers and application specialists including pre-sales activities and tender work.
Reporting all incidents, issues and events using the official complaint procedure in appropriate system (ServiceMax, SalesForce or similar).
Travelling mainly within the Nordic countries but also within Europe (requirement to travel varies but can be up to 75%).
Educated to BA/MA level in medical technology, IT, electronics or similar , you’ll have a proven track record of working in with IT systems in a technical product servicing, application support or any other relevant function within the medical device industry. Preferably you have a knowledge of connectivity solutions e.g. LIS connections (ASTM, HL7, etc.).
In addition to this your other attributes include:
Knowledge of SQL databases, and server solutions, virtual machines etc.
Experience in working in hospital or medical laboratory environment.
Effective interpersonal skills, organization/prioritization skills and a passion for providing superior service.
A valid Driver's License.
Fluent English knowledge and Swedish,Danish or Norwegian
