Great opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Sydney and work with the leading dispensing robotic automation equipment in retail pharmacy and hospital.

Job Description

Purpose: To provide timely support to our customers in retail pharmacy and hospitals with BD ROWA and Pyxis capital equipment and ensure we are providing a customer-focused service.

The core focus for this position will be to install our BD ROWA machines into retail pharmacy. We have a large project pipeline of installation works, therefore we are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer () with a background in installing capital equipment into hospitals or retail pharmacy. If you have installed equipment into FMCG or Pharmaceutical settings, we would also be interested in speaking with you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely diagnosis of system errors and customers issues resolved promptly.

  • Provide software and hardware support for BD ROWA and Pyxis.

  • Handover of remote service diagnosis to Field Engineers

  • To carry out field repairs, preventative maintenance, performance testing and electrical safety testing of company related electro-medical equipment.

  • To provide a point of contact for Medical Systems customers for electronic servicing of equipment, spare parts and technical information.

  • To assist and support installations of Medical Systems

  • Provide technical sales support, including performing workflow and system reviews as part of the implementation process.

  • Plan, schedule and communicate Preventative Maintenance visits and breakdown visits to fit in with the customers’ requirements.

Skills and Experience:

  • Mechanical trade (engineering certificate/diploma or degree preferred)

  • Limited Electrical License (essential)

  • Installation experience of automated machinery into retail pharmacy or hospitals (advantageous)

  • Electronics/computing Trades Certificate,

  • Understanding of computers and assigned software.

  • Ability to understand information accurately and to thus focus/ prioritize the team as appropriate.

  • Strong technical knowledge, interpersonal/negotiation skills, as well as time management, ability to direct and support as appropriate.

  • Strong server knowledge and remote diagnostic experience

  • Ability to identify potential issues/complaints and escalate as appropriate.

  • Prefer to hold restricted electrical license or willing to train then apply.

  • Strong customer communication skills and management of customer expectations.

  • Ability to complete technical repairs and upgrades to electro-medical equipment.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively alone and without direct supervision.

  • Prefer to hold restricted electrical license or equivalent

  • Minimum education requirements
