SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS:

This position is responsible for completing all laboratory testing requirements for the Accelerodesis product line. The position will support environmental testing within the controlled manufacturing areas of the facility, coordination of pyrogen testing, coordination of bioburden and dose audit testing, and support for yearly sterilization revalidation. The position supports the implementation and execution of the calibration system. Other duties include inspection and monitoring of process control plans for the catheter and shunt manufacturing operations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for pyrogen testing of Mannford products

• Daily, weekly, and monthly implementation of the calibration system

• Perform laboratory testing requirements for Accelerodesis product lines

• Able to identify non-compliance issues per the manufacturing standards and regulations

• Interprets applicable quality assurance documentation to assist production employees

• Assists with the development and deployment of process audits and assessments on a regular cadence to ensure

• Trains and performs regular audits of certified total integrated quality (TIQ) inspectors

• Responsible for operation of autoclaves for destruction of cultures and extraction purposes

• Perform environmental monitoring testing for all controlled manufacturing environments

• Responsible for collection and coordination of testing of quarterly bioburden and dose audit testing

• Monitor and trend all applicable environmental and bioburden data

• Demonstrates general knowledge of testing methods used in the facility

• Expands skills and techniques in testing methodologies through cross-training and self-driven learning

• Ensures compliance with all established work instructions, quality plans, process control plans and regulations

• Proactively communicates identified issues and assists in the development of corrective actions

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma / GED required

• 5+ years experience preferred in a manufacturing quality environment or equivalent

• ASQ certification desired

• Must be computer literate with strong knowledge of Word applications

• Strong working knowledge of SAP

• Understand basic quality concepts (i.e. Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, etc.)

• Must have excellent communication skills

• Works with minimum degree of supervision

Lab experience or technician experience preferred
