Job Description Summary

• The role requires working closely with the MDM (Market Development Manager) and the country team to implement the market development strategies/activities at a local country level as well as working with the International Platform of Hernia Repair (AR&R). A key component will be to identify and develop KOLs for new applications to increase awareness and adoption of the new technology and new adjacencies (Hiatal, Prevention, Plastic, Colorectal) and support the expansion of the market. The role requires working to support business development in close collaborations with MDM and NSM.

• Administering peer-to-peer preceptorship programs, centers of excellence, clinical symposia and advisory boards to drive short term awareness, adoption and long-term sustainability of Pillars business (Prof ED). To manage and optimize the existing Professional Education Platform working with KOLs and to develop new country workshops in order to increase customers awareness and to support the development of our Pillars into the new applications as well as the base business opportunity (CAWR).

• The role will be focused on the development needs of our region (Italy) aligned to the international strategy.

About the role

To define and complete the Italian Market development plan for the Pillars Technology portfolio, key platforms for growth in Italy.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Ability to translate into daily practice marketing & commercial strategies.

  • Experience and knowledge in product and portfolio management.

  • Market development and shaping working with other partners in this area.

  • Excellent communication skills to ensure effective execution.

  • Develop deep customer and market insight to enable fact-based decisions to be made.

  • Works collaboratively with the sales and clinical team.

  • Commercial results and marketing projects focused.

  • Strong communications capabilities to gain support and dedication from others.

  • Handle Projects assigned by MDM, including SFDC activities and reports.

  • Ability to prioritise multiple products / projects.

  • Dynamic person able to work alone as well as within skilled teams.

  • Able to use excellent communication skills to give and elicit information.

  • Able to liaise and work with personnel at all levels, both internally and externally.

  • Flexible and able to develop current and new skills.

  • Collaborative in nature.

About you

  • Degree level qualification.

  • 3 years minimum experience in the Medical Device sector, ideally in a market development role.

  • Knowledge of national healthcare market, including competitor activity and broad trends.

  • Experience in Hernia business is a plus.

  • Be familiar with the operating room having a natural passion for the surgical procedures.

  • The ideal candidate has experience of working with sales teams.

  • Be a strong teammate with high medical ethics and show a real talent for medical device sales in the appropriate environment.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, in a dynamic environment.

  • Motivation, perseverance and creativity are a definitive plus.

  • Microsoft Office suite familiarity, especially in the spreadsheet editing and building are required.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Willingness to travel- minimum required 35/40 % across the Italian territory and abroad if needed.
