BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Business Analyst (20 month contract) in Mississauga, Canada
Job Description Summary
The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the sales and marketing organization to provide business decision support in order to achieve strategic and sales objectives. This involves taking a lead role in gathering, understanding and analyzing market intelligence data for Canada to broaden market insights and analytics. A focus for this role is to drive better decision making through capital and financial modelling in support of the RFP/proposal process. Additionally, this role will perform other analytics to support pricing strategy, customer insights, and financial accruals and cash disbursement for incentive agreements, along with developing metrics and reports to monitor the health of the business. This includes data mining, quantifying, reconciling, evaluating and transforming internal and external information into business intelligence to further drive the achievement of strategic and sales objectives.
Provide business decision support through market and sales analytics in support of overall pricing strategy, a nd offer customer/market insights that will drive sales growth.
Build solutions to combine multiple sources of data accurately to enhance sales and market intelligence.
Work closely with sales and marketing to gather reporting requirements and build new capabilities. Includes performing data validation, combining multiple complex data sets, and end user testing of dashboards to ensure data accuracy and usability and self serve dashboarding capabilities as required.
Responsible for the management, continual customization and development of dashboards, reports, forms, templates and models utilizing varying technologies (Qlikview, PowerPivot, Excel, VBA Macros, Access etc) in support of the business.
Build alternate proposal models with the business based on market insight. Liase with Finance and Commercial Operations Teams to ensure all financial and compliance/legal considerations are assessed.
Work with business to build value add options/alternatives for customers. Responsible for developing model/calculation(s) required for customer contract incentives and to ensure accrual, reconciliation, and payment process can be executed based on terms of proposal.
Participate, lead and/or manage other BA and global projects as required. Share and leverage best practices, new learnings and developments from other businesses locally and globally.
Provide training and onboarding to new associates as required. Develop training plan for all user levels. Maintain training documents to ensure they are up to date.
University Business Degree required
3+ years of business analytics, decision support, or complex retail finance or statistical/data science experience
Experience with retail or health care analytics, IQVIA/IMS Health, Human Data Science preferred
Experience with statistical or financial modelling, data basing techniques, and interpreting contractual agreements/proposal language
Strong organizational, project management, and prioritization skills
Detail oriented, strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, with minimal guidance provided
Expert/Mastery level with Microsoft Excel skills are required
Proficiency in Tableau/Power BI/Qlikview an asset
Experience within Health Care Industry preferred
