BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Market Development Manager - Point-Of-Care in Mississauga, Ontario
Job Description Summary
Join our team now in Ontario as the Market Development Manager, Point-Of-Care (POC), home office based - you will be responsible for defining the strategy to develop the market for the Point-Of-Care portfolio and translating the strategy into tactical marketing programs. Of critical importance will be the development and execution of the launch plan for the POC assay for SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19) detection. Additionally, the Market Development Manager is responsible for developing messaging and supporting selling activities, with particular focus on long term care and retail pharmacy.
Responsible for the development of a regional launch plan for the BD Veritor COVID product, including targeting, pricing, communication plan, and ensuring regional readiness to launch
Product management activities related to the BD Veritor product line, including supporting product allocations, demand planning, and providing inputs into financial budgeting/forecasting
Responsible for identifying market trends, competition behaviors, and customer needs to maximize business opportunities and minimize potential threats and developing strategies to address
Partner with Government Relations to drive market development activities focused on getting reimbursement for point-of-care tests
Develop and execute against annual marketing plan and long-term strategic plans to respond to the needs of the Canadian market
Develop and leverage relationships with the global platform to ensure Canadian needs are met and to provide input for new product developments
Develop messaging and support selling activities, with particular focus on long term care and retail pharmacy.
Bachelor degree required(science or business preferred), MBA is an asset
Combined 3-5 years sales and marketing experience.
Sales within the non-acute/alternate site market. Experience with retail pharmacy and long term care preferred.
Marketing experience within the healthcare market. Product launch and digital marketing experience an asset.
People management experience an asset
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Ability to interact effectively with all management levels
Ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines, set priorities and follow through
Strong Organization Skills and Entrepreneurial spirit
Bilingualism (English and French) an asset
Home office based, 20% travel within Canada
