Job Description Summary

The role is accountable for the achievement of key marketing functional goals at a product line level; influences the development and drives the execution of functional or product line plans. Decisions or recommendations impact sales and/or expense budget performance and will manage a formal marketing expense budget driving top line sales performance. Influences within work area/ department/ function; provides significant input into product line-related business decisions and resource planning; plays critical role in key projects/ initiatives, often leading project/ initiative teams. Demonstrates marketing expertise through specific and advanced set of skills and knowledge, e.g. branding, product development, forecasting.

  • Manages all aspects of product marketing plans for assigned product portfolio(s) to ensure the achievement of financial/budget expectations and product line strategies, including market sensing and marketing/portfolio mix.

  • Manages drivers of demand for assigned product line(s) such as pricing strategy, channel strategy, contracting, and product mix.

  • Financial planning/forecasting, demand planning, and RFP/Contract management

  • Work with the global platform marketing team

  • Lead development of selling tools to support execution of portfolio

  • Collaborate and align with the world-wide business on platform strategies

  • Contribute to the development of the Annual Strategic Review process for the platform

  • Act as the main knowledge leader with respects to competitive activities, initiatives, and partnerships to ensure proactive market awareness and action

  • Sales support as required to meet customer needs

  • Organization and execution of National Conferences and Events

Required knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA is an asset

  • Strong financial and business acumen

  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Demonstrated leadership, creativity and vision

  • Ability to interact effectively with all management levels

  • Highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple projects an prioritize under tight deadlines

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of business experience in the healthcare industry. Experience may include marketing, sales, sales training, business development

  • Experience in identifying Market Opportunities, Market Segmentation, Targeted Marketing, Competitive Analysis, Pricing Strategy and Go to Market models and strategies.

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset

Job Specific Requirements:

  • 20-30% travel within Canada and the US


  • This position reports to the Marketing Director, MDS


  • Working conditions are typical of an office environment, with overtime & travel required as necessary
