Position Summary

  • The Operations Trainer is responsible for leading training for workers new to respective work areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works from written and verbal instructions while adhering to policies and procedures to safely develop new workers.

  • Provides instruction and conducts assessments to determine knowledge transfer for new workers to designated area(s).

Shift : Friday - Sunday 5:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This role is considered a temporary assignment, with benefits, beginning immediately and anticipated to end on 3/31/2023, subject to business conditions. If, at the end of that period, you have not obtained another position within BD, your employment will terminate and you will be eligible for severance benefits per the Severance Plan currently in effect.

Educational Qualifications & Previous Experience

Demonstrated efficiency and accuracy in performing each essential job duty satisfactorily in the following areas:

  • Technical Knowledge – Knowledge of GMP, quality procedures, and functional skills required within the respective manufacturing process(es).

  • Interpersonal Skills – Relates well to people at multiple levels of the organization using diplomacy and tact and builds effective relationships and rapport

  • Managing & Measuring Work – Sets clear performance objectives and measures, monitors process, progress, and results

  • Coaching & Feedback Skills – effectively communicates identified performance issues and provide clear and timely feedback in a non-confrontational, constructive manner that motivates and drives improvement

  • Communication Skills – Speaks and writes clearly and succinctly in order to get message across

  • Leadership Skills –Leads by example through excellent attendance and performance demonstrating the BD Way

  • Demonstrated focus on safety and quality to produce productExperience in training and development in a manufacturing setting

Professional Skills & Key Competencies

  • Organized

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to follow safety policies and practices

  • Time Management

  • Ability to adapt training style to the trainee

Desired / Additional Skills & Knowledge

  • Two or more years of training

  • Training certificate

Any additional Information

  • This is a full-time position.

  • Days and hours of work vary

  • Role requires flexibility to move shifts to support training needs

  • Standard shift is 10 hours

  • Travel in and outside of the US may be required

  • Ability to comply with applicable quality regulations as identified by the organization.
