PURPOSE: Responsible for providing production and tank cleaning coverage in Department 78007.

SHIFT: Friday - Sunday 4:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

This role is considered a temporary assignment, with benefits, beginning immediately and anticipated to end on 3/31/2023, subject to business conditions. If, at the end of that period, you have not obtained another position within BD, your employment will terminate and you will be eligible for severance benefits per the Severance Plan currently in effect.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be able to run the Rubberizer (refer to 102102 Rubberizer Operator job description).

  • Must be able to Build Up Dip (refer to 102108 Build Up Dipper job description).

  • Must be able to operate the Finish Machine (refer to 102107 Finish Machine Operator job description).

  • Must be able to Strip (refer to 101174 Stripper job description).

  • Must be able to Funnel Slurry (refer to 102098 Funnel Slurry Operator job description).

  • Must be able to perform the duties of Tank Cleaner (refer to 102431 Tank Cleaner job description) performing backup assistance as needed.

  • Must be able to meet the maximum lifting requirements as specified for each of the covered positions listed above.

  • Must have accurate record keeping skills.

  • Must follow all GMP/BOP guidelines.

  • Maintain clean and organized work area as outlined in the GMPs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Accurately able to measure weight, volume and temperature.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands or arms (to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls). The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with the assistance of drum moving equipment.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is not subjected to noise above OSHA levels without providing hearing protection, which will attenuate the noise to less than 85 db.

  • The Personal Protective Equipment required to perform this job safely includes safety glasses and appropriate shoes.
