Job purpose :

The Diabetes Care Post-Acute National Account Manager will be responsible for managing a set of high priority accounts. This position will be responsible for developing and executing account strategies aimed at driving Diabetes Care sales goals across Safety Pen Needles and Safety Syringes. The DC Post-Acute National Account Manager will be assigned 15-20 accounts, spanning the largest US post-acute strategic accounts. As a customer facing role, this position will require engagement with executive level stakeholders to build and maintain relationships, identify, and understand DC Safety Portfolio opportunities, and drive business results.

Drive Growth for the DC Safety Portfolio in the post-acute segment:

  • Achieve Sales Targets/Quota in assigned accounts

  • Collaborate with the LTC Regional Account Managers to achieve overall sales goals for the segment.

  • Regularly forecast territory/account performance and be accountable for forecast accuracy in funnel management system such as salesforce.com

Develop, own, and execute DC Safety Portfolio Strategy in assigned accounts :

  • Manage Overall Corporate Relationship with assigned accounts

  • Develop clearly defined DC strategy for assigned accounts, identifying, and highlighting opportunities and priorities to pursue them

  • Responsible for influencing and cultivating relationships with influential clinical and economic stakeholders

  • Responsible for engaging the appropriate internal resources necessary to execute the account business plan

  • Craft and deliver DC Safety Portfolio value proposition message to account stakeholders

  • Ensure delivery of customer value and expectations through recurring business reviews

  • Develop contract and pricing strategies that drive & prioritize the DC Safety Portfolio in targeted accounts, with appropriate DC leadership approvals

  • Monitor for compliance, coordinate response to non-compliance

  • Update account level QUIP/business plans on an ongoing basis

Market /Customer Knowledge:

  • Demonstrates understanding of the health care environment, key market segments, and industry market trends

  • Builds and leverages strong understanding of customer business models to connect Diabetes Care competencies with customer needs

  • Actively engages in industry associations and meetings to acquire knowledge and identify relevant business opportunities

  • Attends relevant industry tradeshows and customer events (i.e., ASCP, NADONA, AHCA, MHA Business Summit)

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in business or related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years of documented sales success in acute or post-acute account management

  • Documented success with collaborating/influencing across business units & functions to drive results

  • Advanced knowledge of the buying and contracting processes for both clinical and economic products in the post-acute segment

  • Understanding of US healthcare landscape, including role of payers, GPOs, distributors

  • In depth knowledge of the Diabetes Care portfolio

  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
