Job Description Summary
Together with his/her team, the Team leader Logistics Administration is responsible to support the logistics administration process in the area of transportation planning, warehouse planning, logistics administration & customs for both In-and Outbound flows going through the European Distribution Center (EDC) in Olen and serving the EMEA region. This includes acting as a point of contact for internal- and external stakeholders to maximize customer experience through optimizing impact on OTIF (On Time In Full)
He/she will coach, develop & empower his/her team members on a daily basis and translates the company vision into SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-bound) team- and individual goals, assuring implementation of the company’s culture and values (BD Way)
He/she will report to the Sr. Operations Manager Olen.
Lead the day-to-day logistics administration in the area of
Transport & warehouse Planning
Planning and follow up of Inbound- & outbound shipments in accordance with SLA (Service Level Agreements). This includes special planning on for example Bank holidays.
Steer the inbound & overflow priority settings as a liaison between operations, service level agreements, Supply Chain planning & business.
Communication & coordination of shipments with carriers who are part of BD’s European Transportation network as well as with key internal stakeholders (for example Warehouse operations)
Collaborate & communicate with key internal- and external stakeholders in case of issues or delays in order to minimize impact on the customer.
Ensure correct master data, inbound data and system setup to enable correct transport planning & warehouse execution
Provide input to the European Transportation team with regards to carrier performance
Give input on continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the end to end order fulfillment process.
Logistics administration and customs
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of In-and Outbound documentation and customs declarations for EMEA shipments in accordance with customs and trade compliance regulations by collaborating effectively with our internal Trade Compliance Center of Excellence (TCCOE)
Customer logistics services coordination, complaints management
Process investigate & categorize incoming service issues, perform root-cause analysis and suggest continuous improvement initiatives
Act as point of contact for all value-added services requests (stickering/labelling activities) requiring EDC Warehouse Operations capacity and/or resources, inclusive end to end coordination and communication with all stakeholders
People Management and organization
Act as a coach to your team members and remove roadblocks enabling empowerment

Assure compliance with ISO 13485 requirements
Comply to QMS (Quality Management System) requirements
Assure up to date processes, job descriptions and work instructions for your process and team compliant with ISO 13485 guidelines
Assure representation in audits
Competencies & background
Bachelor or Master degree in Logistics, Supply chain or equivalent
Proven experience in Logistics Administration, customs & transportation planning
Good insight in end to end logistics processes
Proven experience in managing a team effectively with focus on individual and team development
Good Analytical skills & insight in management of KPI’s
Customer centric and continuous improvement mindset
Good communication and presentation skills, incl. ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
Experience with SAP, Descartes and experience in QMS ( Quality Management System – ISO 13485 / CAPA – Corrective Actions, Preventive Actions) are strong plus
