As a Warehouse Infrastructure and Labor Management specialist – WMS, you play a key role in the implementation of the new WMS system within the European Distribution Centers in Temse & Olen. You will assess the necessary requirements from a Warehouse Infrastructure and Labor Management perspective within the WMS stream.

This role will exist out of 2 main aspects:

Warehouse Infrastructure - WMS :

You will perform research on the impact of the newly designed logistics processes and the warehouse infrastructure needs to prepare the facility for the implementation of the new applications. In this role, you will engage with other team members to ensure the overall process works conform to expectations. Engagement with the following main stakeholders will be maintained, such as Operations, DC Quality, Facilities and EH&S, and external vendors, but also with the project team members on working on the DC Capacity/Masterplan project.

Labor Management-WMS:

You will analyze the business needs within Operations to provide any KPI and Labor Management strategy needed to run the Distribution center. You will drive the solution and implement Labor-Management considering the requirements with the stakeholders and build, test, validate the LM set-up within the WMS system.

During the go-live & stabilization period, you will be crucial to support the day-to-day continuity. Based on this gained experience, you will support the operation leads with KPI’s and Labor Management tools as a support to DC's day-to-day operations and any continuous improvements within our roadmap.

Job Description:

Requirements gathering and asses & validate impact to existing situations - WMS :

  • You understand logistics & warehouse processes and how the infrastructure and layout match these processes in the best possible way, including driving the changes as an enabler of successful implementation.

  • You create the functional and technical requirements, get these approved in order to validate and purchase the required materials and equipment

  • You perform the necessary validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) to get a compliant state of the materials & equipment as per the sites Quality Management system.

Labor Management - WMS :

  • You create a Labor Management strategy with necessary tools, reports, and dashboard, which can be aligned between Temse & Olen to maximize leverage towards standardized processes.

  • You assist in the configuration of the Labor-Management module of the WMS system.

  • You maintain the system documentation of the respective outcomes.

Integration & User acceptance testing support - WMS :

  • You act as a process champion for Labor-Management, you will support the test users, which are part of integration & UAT, in their ability to identify & execute the test scripts.

  • You support the master data set-up as an enabler for the execution of the tests.

  • You support the root cause identification on the issues, which are noticed during these integration & UAT testing.

Training & QMS support - WMS :

  • You act as a process champion for Labor Management. You will support the identified trainers to get them towards the necessary knowledge level & experience to execute the training for the operations people.

  • As process champion for reporting, you provide the support to get the site QMS (Quality Management System) system up-to-date.

Go-Live/Hypercare support - WMS :

  • As the go-live approaches, you will provide support in the preparation activities.

  • After go-live, you will act as the primary point of contact to support DC’s daily operations teams,

  • You maintain the system process documentation, including best practices.

  • You maintain relations with external vendors and 3rd level system support.

Your Profile:

  • You have a professional Bachelor's degree in Supply chain/Logistics, or equivalent by experience.

  • You have several years of experience within a warehouse-processing environment, preferably in managing, designing, setting-up warehouses, or experience through continuous improvement projects.

  • You have knowledge of creating KPI’s on logistics processes.

  • You have experience in Labor management, creating planning/forecasting, and tracking models for logistics processes and related labor.

  • You have experience with Manhattan WMS or SAP systems (plus).

  • You have an analytical mindset to address process challenges & a problem-solving attitude.

  • You are flexible to provide process & system support outside of the standard day working times, including the go-live and stabilization support period.

  • You are fluent in English & Dutch.
