BD Vacutainer® blood collection tubes in Plymouth, Devon is looking for a Supply Chain Leader due to retirement. This role is on a permanent basis, Monday to Friday offering competitive salary and substantial benefits package (annual bonus, AXA private healthcare, pension contribution, LTI share options)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with the Supply Chain Manager in developing and shaping the strategic direction of the department . You will provide wider support to company procurement and plant procurement for site-specific and WW category teams.
About the role
You will lead and develop the material planning team, indirect procurement and PM stores teams of 7 associates and will be reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. You will be responsible for all purchasing activities including, raw materials & indirect materials, Plant Maintenance stores, purchasing compliance and cost reductions. You will lead, coach and develop the purchasing and plant maintenance stores teams to deliver and meet their objectives. Accountable for the achievement of all Supply Chain targets from inventory reduction, cost reductions, and process improvement/continuous improvement
Key responsibilities will include:
Responsible for the development and implementation of the site MRO strategy including MRO spend. Identify suppliers for integration to achieve vendor reduction targets.
Work closely with production operations with regard to any changes that might impact either or both warehouse and production areas. Accountable for the delivery and compliance to Health and Safety, 5S, CIAS, C2C & GMP.
Work closely with site Quality, ensuring all new and existing suppliers are compliant with Corporate Supplier Management procedures and their audits.
Point of contact & SME for departmental audits and action and resolve any CAPA’s issued.
Responsible for reporting the quarterly Material Forecast, and ensuring Finance is aware of any price changes for raw materials that could impact PPV.
