BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) MRO Coordinator in Queensbury, New York
To coordinate various purchasing activities related to MRO items, on a timely basis.
Receive purchase requisitions from internal customers; review them for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
Responsible for MRO purchase order processing and related activity. This includes obtaining price/delivery information as needed, printing/distributing purchase orders in a timely manner, reviewing vendor acknowledgements for discrepancies, and processing any returns as needed.
Responsible for running open order report and expediting orders as needed.
Responsible for maintaining supplier and purchase order files.
Responsible for Vendor Maintenance requests (additions, changes) and working with Vendor Master Data Team to resolve any issues.
Works with Accounting to ensure proper payments to suppliers and resolve issues.
Works with Tool Crib / Machine Shop system to accurately maintain inventories, pricing history and supplier information.
Seeks to reduce costs and improve efficiency through the consolidation of purchasing and supplier reduction where applicable.
Glens Falls representative for corporate MRO savings and synergy projects.
Other related duties as assigned.
Must possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to interact in a team environment.
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
CPM and/or APICS certification desirable.
Minimum two-year college degree preferably in a business related field, or
Two years purchasing related activity, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Work permits employee to remain seated with some fatiguing posture. Occasional lifting between 1-5 lbs.
Physical surroundings are pleasant and comfortable, with little or no exposure to injury or other health hazards
