Job Description SummaryThe Lead Software Development Engineer in Test will be responsible for helping drive quality deliverables within their team. They will help their teams cultivate a quality mindset, advocating for quality while assisting engineers with software development and test automation best practices.

Job Description

Responsibilities :

  • Work with a team to deliver consistent, quality work each sprint, meeting the teams sprint commitments

  • Define and create test cases based on acceptance criteria and in conjunction with best practices established by our overall SQE team

  • Determine test case candidates for automation, providing the appropriate validation as defined in the test case

  • Write automated integration and/or UI tests to be included in regression suite

  • Participate in executing manual test cases, where required in sprint as well as release regression testing

  • Review acceptance criteria and discuss with the developers to determine unit test case coverage

  • Actively participate in all scrum-related meetings, including but not limited to daily standups, sprint planning, grooming, and sprint reviews

  • Advocate for quality within cross-functional development teams

  • Actively work with developers on test automation best practices and update/maintain automated regression test suite

  • Contribute to our test frameworks and services

  • Coordinate testing efforts to ensure the delivery of quality features

  • Contribute to our long-term vision and strategy for SQE and Test Automation

  • Make testing an integral part of the development process

  • Report bugs and follow them through the complete bug life cycle

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 10 - 15 years of experience testing and delivering enterprise-quality software

  • Experience testing middleware, mobile and web applications

  • 5+ years of C# knowledge and experience

  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience using API testing methods and tools (SOAPUI, Postman, Fiddler or Swagger)

  • Strong knowledge and experience within our tech stack: C#, .NET, TFS, VSTS, Git

  • Knowledge and a passion for test infrastructure and CI/CD

  • Knowledge and experience with writing automation tests using MSTEST Frame work

  • Passion for quickly shipping innovative features that are simultaneously reliable

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment

  • Ability to advocate for quality across functional teams

  • Experienced with agile methodologies and understand what it means to have a quality mindset in an agile environment

  • Ability to learn new technology quickly

  • Mobile development technologies preferred (Xamarin)

  • Experience with Visual Studio, NOSQL and test data management preferred

  • Experience handling distributed teams and managing multiple projects

  • Experience on automating web API, Load testing & performance testing on mobile & desktop environments
