Job Description Summary
The Project Manager Supervisor is responsible for hands-on project management, software portfolio reporting and status, and functional leadership of other software project managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software project management and experience with disciplined application of agile development methodologies to drive efficient, predictable and high quality software delivery. The candidate must also be a highly effective communicator with the ability to communicate project plans, risks, pros/cons, and potential solutions.
Demonstrates deep understanding of project management principles.
Ability to manage and deliver software projects in alignment with processes & best practices with high efficiency, predictability and high quality
Is familiar with and is able to apply change management methodologies to project planning and execution
Facilitates the definition of scope, schedule, and resources for cross team initiatives
Facilitates identification and mitigation of project risk and issues
Measures project performance and communicates progress and recommendations to senior management
Provides leadership to Project Managers in the form of coaching, performance management, career development, mentoring, and/or training
5+ years of project management experience, PMP preferred
Experience incorporating change management practices into projects they have led
Practical knowledge and application of Agile software development principles and methodologies
Experience presenting findings to senior management
Ability to lead cross-organizational teams
Ability to manage others and set priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Experience working in a software development organization
Skilled in meeting facilitation, action item identification, and follow up.
