Job Description Summary
The Associate Director of Marketing is directly responsible for the financial success of the PICC Product Portfolio within AAD. The Associate Director is responsible for managing the global PICC business and working with Regional and Cross Functional Teams to ensure strategic objectives are met.
This position requires:
BS/BA in engineering, science or marketing.
Advanced financial, clinical, engineering or MBA degree preferred.
Minimum 8 years of a proven track record in marketing.
Clear capacity to work collaboratively with a variety of professional teams, stakeholders, and geography leaders to achieve time framed results.
Medical Device experience preferred.
Must have experience managing others.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Works with cross functional and regional teams to develop, adapt, and execute strategic marketing plans for the PICC product portfolio throughout multiple markets taking into specific cultural and regional considerations.
Identifies, develops and delivers needed marketing promotions, programs, sales tools, technical/research resources to ensure sales growth and market development for multiple product lines in all markets.
Develops market specific outcome grounded strategic marketing plans including specific value propositions, to inform long term AAD direction for all markets.
Identifies, and develops marketing programs, sales tools, pricing, positioning and promotions for multiple product lines.
Identifies, quantifies and develops new market and product opportunities for multiple product lines taking into account specific country needs.
Hires, manages, and develops product managers.
Provides marketing leadership to the product management team in the form of motivation, training and strategic vision.
Provides leadership to project teams both directly and indirectly.
Developing market relevant strategic plans which are supported by clinical/technical expertise and culturally relevant sales, marketing and training tools.
Works directly with R&D and Regulatory to identify and place specific product configurations and components in a way that is relevant to the unique markets while maximizing clinical efficacy and financial viability.
Motivates, directs and empowers product managers to provide the necessary tactical support to ensure timely product launches, provide R&D and regulatory feedback, address product questions and ensure sales goals are realized.
Develops relationships with large industry organizations and suppliers such as ONS, SIR, AVA, ad agencies, market research firms, etc.
Formulates and manages the annual budget (promotional and expense) for marketing.
Works with the regions to help with the development of annual product lines and forecasts.
Acts as the liaison between marketing teams, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and other BD teams.
Develops strong working relationship with regions, communicating directly with members of the team as needed.

Strong product knowledge supported by a clear clinical and technical understanding of multiple franchises.
Capacity to successfully work with a variety of cross functional teams across multiple markets.
A clear cultural awareness of and sensitivity to the unique domestic and international business environments of multiple markets.
Strong leadership skills with a capacity to positively influence other leaders, regional and country marketing teams, and cross functional team members in the absence of a direct reporting relationship.
Effective presenter, trainer, and instructor of product knowledge and sales techniques with associates, customers and clinicians.
Competent and confident working directly with local internal leadership, critical physicians, clinicians, hospital CEOs and regulators.
Strong understanding of financial drivers and forecast analysis.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proven skills in hiring, coaching and developing subordinates.
Ability to handle/accept ambiguity and diversity in problem solving.
Strong business ethics.
Expanding sales and increasing market share of BAS technologies that are currently available in their markets.
Identifies, launches and grow sales of existing U.S. technologies in primed international markets.
Works collaboratively with U.S. and international counterparts and cross functional teams to identify new technologies to meet pressing unmet market needs.
