This position can be remote and requires:

  •  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

  •  A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse.

  •  Two to three (2-3) years acute care hospital and nutritional support or IV therapy experience or equivalency.

  •  Strong communication and customer interface skills.

  •  Ability to work to established deadlines for completion of tasks, reports, responses and projects.

Preferred qualifications include:

  •   Three to five (3-5) years within a medical device company or at an equivalent regulated medical environment.

  • Experience with training peers and development of process and procedures.

  •  IV therapy and oncology experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for training and developing peers.

  •  Implements training and in-servicing for internal/external customers on our products/processes.

  •  Develops processes and procedures for the Quality Department.

  •  Interfaces with upper management on regulatory/clinical issues/projects.

  •  Responds to clinical or technical inquiries by phone, email or letter in a timely and professional manner (within 24 hours as able).

  •  Provides Field Assurance with clinical support in resolving customer complaints within required timeframes.

  •  Identifies clinical concerns with accounts and coordinates with District and Territory Managers and others as needed to resolve them.

  •  Assists with developing responses to legal interrogatories.

Provides input to product teams, as required.

  •  Provides clinical support to all investigational and marketed device studies undertaken by BAS, as needed.

  •  Participates in the Design Review of new and/or modified devices, as requested.

  •  Reviews labeling for clinical clarity and correctness, as requested.

  •  Consults with other departments when a health care professional’s viewpoint is needed.

  •  Determines MDR status of each complaint.

  •  Reviews all complaint files at closure for accuracy and writes evaluation letters to customers as needed.

  •  Provides clinical and technical support to the Clinical Education Manager and the Marketing Department.

  •  Develops responses to Regulatory Authorities including FDA and Competent Authorities internationally.

  •  Conducts literature searches as requested and provides summarized information to management.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of vascular access devices, IV therapy, nursing process, and national standards of care.

  •  In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

  •  Demonstrated leadership/training capability; excellent interpersonal communications skills.

  •  Process/procedure oriented; Detail oriented.

  •  Good organizational skills.

  •  Computer literate.
