About the role

The Customer Quality Specialist (CQS) is responsible for supporting BD MDS Quality activities related to B2B opportunities within the assigned territory. This position is responsible for handling customer quality interfaces for the assigned MDS B2B customer(s) at each of its sites, including negotiation and approval of Quality Agreements and Customer Specifications, and supporting related BD quality processes and procedures.

Job Description

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Together with the MDS B2B Account Manager, the CQS identifies the customer’s needs and expectations pertaining to multiple products and sites internally and at the customer, and educates the customer on BD products specificities, manufacturing processes and quality controls.

  • The CQS negotiates Quality Agreements and specifications with the customer. Ensures alignment on descriptions of non-conformities/conditions, control methods, and AQL levels. Ensures that committed specifications/agreements are aligned with BD capability and strategy through established processes.

  • Endorses Customer Quality Agreements and specifications after review and validation through the appropriate BD functions.

  • Monitors and maintains the Customer Quality Agreements and specifications with the customers to maintain alignment with the customer’s expectations.

  • Acts as the entry/exit point for Customer Product/Service Complaints. Transfers complaint to the Customer Complaints Coordinator for registration and assignation. Acts as the point of contact for investigators to provide requested information for investigation purposes.

About you

Educated to Bachelor Degree, you’ll need a proven Quality Assurance track record in which you’ve developed a strong understanding of quality-related principles and techniques (corrective and preventative actions, document control, continual improvement, statistical analysis, and root cause analysis). A strong communicator, able to maintain professional behavior in all situations, you’re passionate about Quality Assurance and contributing to the ongoing commercial success of a progressive, future-orientated business and about improving health outcomes.

5 years of work experience in a regulated environment that includes the key aspects of a quality management system. Experience in FDA regulations and ISO-compliant systems standards applicable to consumer products and medical devices (ISO13485).

  • High level of English (C1)

  • A proactive approach to all Quality assignments.

  • Experience with Microsoft and SAP
