About the role

AS Sales Manager, reporting to the Country Business leader BD Biosciences Iberia, you will be responsible for organizing, motivating and leading the Sales Team in Spain and is fully accountable for achieving annual business objectives. And also, in charge of the combined performance of the team for ensuring that everyone within his/her team reaches their targets.

In addition, as Sales Manager Biosciences in Spain, you will have P&L responsibility for his/her division and is charge of working closely with the Country Business leader BD Biosciences Iberia to establish the business in Spain, create long term business strategies, and build the organization to align with the business plans.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Continuously evaluates assigned market and implements strategic activities that will result in achieving BD’s short and long term growth objectives.

  • Ensure that the geography has the people, infrastructure and financial resources to deliver excellent customer service and high quality results to customers.

  • Develop and retain key customer relationships, successfully compete for new business, and build BD’s reputation in the market.

  • Provides feedback and coaching to encourage ongoing development and develop a career plan for the team.

About you

Educated to degree level in a business or scientific subject area, you’ll need a validated sales management track record incorporating significant coaching and development experience within medical devices industry. A highly successful negotiator - KAM experience would be a real advantage - you’ll ideally have a firm grasp of medical procurement procedures and marketing principles. Your strong, multi-discipline team leadership skills will be evident in your achievements, as will your strategic and Hunter thinking, planning and organisational capabilities. In addition to excellent all-round communication and influencing skills at all levels, you’ll also bring:

  • Fluent English (both written and verbal).

  • Willingness to spend a minimum of 50% of his/her time in the field. Geographical responsibilities will be across the territory of Iberia.

  • Minimum 8 years medical devices sales experience, 3 years as Sales Manager.

  • Sales and marketing management experience within Life Sciences sector, specifically in Flow cytometry or clinical diagnostics.
