BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Cost Analyst - Hybrid in San Antonio, Texas

The position will be responsible for partnering with operations and site finance, researching issues, preparing weekly/monthly dashboards to review the performance to date and assist in preparing annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
This position will be Hybrid at our San Antonio, TX location!
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Makes decisions, often difficult and/or unpopular, by carefully weighing pros and cons and acting in accordance with GAAP.
Provides general accounting and reporting support for BD operations.
Analyzes and explains variances between forecasts, budget, and actual results.
Communicates clearly with the finance and operations team on the monthly performance.
Prepares month-end reporting and analysis.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to complete daily, weekly, monthly tasks.
Demonstrates understanding of source documentation, research variances, and propose corrections.
Leverages customer knowledge to develop alternative solutions and shares key learnings with others.
Participate in various teams’ related activities to ensure proper SOX controls and compliance with BD policies.
Inventory reporting metrics and other KPI’s.
Coordinate annual manufacturing standard costs along with analysis of these items.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required, including process improvement.
Bachelor degree required; Accounting or Finance focus preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel proficiency to include v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
General knowledge of finance and accounting concepts
Attention to detail and accuracy under time constraints
Desire to improve upon existing processes and procedures
Ability to analyze, organize and explain large volumes of data
Time management and prioritization
Ability to travel up to 25%
