About the role:

As General Ledger Accountant II, you will support multiple business units and legal entities, and facilitate any special operating and/or reporting requirements. As such, you will prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and quarterly reporting, including flux analysis. You will assist annually with the preparation of the tax package schedules for various companies and additional year-end reporting requirements. You will participate in SOX testing and special projects. You'll ensure that the assigned day-to-day operations are carried out in accordance with established accounting principles, policies and objectives. You will also take lead on multiple projects and provide oversight and guidance to other members, and maintain oversight of the offshore Treasury Relations Accounting team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work in multiple ERP environments while developing standard processes around these environments.

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of general accounting activities in line with month and year end reporting timelines.

  • Responsible for monthly reconciliation of GL payroll and stock option account

  • Ensure that all processes and policies are aligned with Internal Audit and Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements

  • Prepare Quarterly balance sheet analysis, review and remediation

  • Identify and implement processes improvements in the GL system by researching and assessing established standardized work flow procedures and policies

  • Engage with multiple functions and businesses and senior management within the organization, and Assist internal/external auditors in periodic audits.

  • Ability to identify areas of issue and provide resolution

  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner with little direct supervision, and assist with workload balancing within a Team

  • Maintains strict confidentiality of privileged payroll and financial statement transactions

About you:

To be successful in this role, you require working experience with an ERP, SAP strongly preferred, and be an MS Excel champion.

You shall have strong analytical and problem solving skills, with superb customer service skills to positively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of leadership. You can work independently and in a team setting, and have worked in a global shared service environment.

Ideally, you will have direct experience with SAP 6.0, and Blackline Reconciliation Module, worked a large reconciliations' volume, and have Cash/Treasury experience preferred.

Education and experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 4 years experience in Accounting, with a focus on General Ledger activities specifically required.
