Job Description SummaryThe individual, in this role, acts as an internal consultant to managers, recruiters and HR providing strategic advice on international and domestic moves ensuring application of appropriate policy, procedures, tax and immigration compliance, and overseeing a caseload of mobile employees while ensuring a superior associate experience.

The position utilizes discretion latitude in decision-making as a subject matter expert in Mobility policies and programs in Americas ASC Total Rewards. The position provides expertise and is a point of contact cross functionally with the applicable Center of Excellence (CoE).

Job Description

  • Applies subject matter expertise on international/domestic moves requests ensuring the company and/or associate have given due consideration and analysis of the business case, compliance, international taxation and cost mitigation, employee’s long term career path, as well as policy application in all policy types including: Long Term International Assignments, Short Term International Assignments, Cross Border Commuter Assignments, Cross Border Travelers, International Transfers, and Local Plus moves.

  • Oversees all types of mobility cases from consulting phase through the lifecycle of the move until completion. Includes interfacing with Associates, Managers, HR Business Partners, and Vendors on all relocation matters. Actively manages the process ensuring timely completion of cost analysis, approvals, LOU generation and review, system updates and other related transactions.

  • Manages the inquiries that come into the mobility desk via a Global Mobility Mailbox/Case Management System.

  • Proactively manages issues, escalations and exceptions ensuring a positive associate experience while ensuring compliance, cost mitigation, and equity are balanced with policy adherence. Engages management as appropriate.

  • Manages day to day interactions with relocation and tax services partners serving as a single point of contact to vendors on caseload questions related to associates’ services. Provides guidance and direction on BD requirements and expectations, proactively addresses service lapses, manages the authorization of services, manages exceptions minimizing service creep while ensuring compliance, ensures that services are timely completed and performed as contracted.

  • Partners with the CoE in a consultative and project management role to define and implement program delivery.

  • Participates in designing the Mobility program and guidelines when applicable. Identifies and recommends methods to update, simplify and enhance processes, procedures and technologies. Leads and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Gathers and provides analysis on appropriate metrics, data and reports around compliance, performance, and data analytics (peer-level) to help initiate improvements.

  • Manages HCM personnel information and payroll to track relocated employees, relevant assignment information, assignment costs and benefits.

  • Supports external benchmarking and industry surveys exercises as requested by management and the CoE.

  • This position supports the Customer Interaction Center (CIC) in developing and updating support documentation and by receiving and resolving tier 2 inquiries.

Educational Qualifications & Previous Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a professional HR, Business, Tax, or Accounting qualification, or Diploma with equivalent working experience

  • Previous experience and subject matter expertise in international and domestic Mobility policies and programs

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ international and domestic relocation experience. Preferred in a mid/large size Global organization.

  • HR Generalist experience a plus

  • Preferred:

  • Global Mobility Specialist (GMS)

  • Certified Relocation Professional Certificate (CRP)

  • Six Sigma or Lean Management Certification
