As the Associate Program Director of Connectivity, you will ensure the success of a highly sophisticated program within the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) Infusion Platform at BD. Specifically, you will drive performance excellence in defining customer requirements and designing and developing the platform and product to a successful commercial launch. In this exciting role, you will be the face of BD in working with our partners and have visibility with our MMS executive leadership team while delivering a strategically important program. If you are highly motivated, innovative, and have demonstrated sustained success in the execution of complex cross-functional programs with external partners, we want to hear from you! # Job Description ## Duties and Responsibilities + Develop and launch product(s) to commercial success through a structured design and development process that ensures compliance with quality management and regulatory requirements. + Own the platform program roadmap and ensuring delivery of each element of the product development pipeline while optimizing the market window, customer requirements, product release strategies and competitive advantage. + Deliver a balanced and clearly articulated representation of the relevant data to prepare for Phase Gate and other Go/No-Go decisions by BD/Partner executive leadership. Recommend course of action, resource allocation and budget while accurately communicating risk, impact and mitigation. + Define resource needs and arrange resourcing plans with leadership, including goals, outputs and performance expectations for the core and extended team. + Drive alignment across product value proposition, program scope, and business objectives. Lead program planning process ensuring all requirements are driven by market needs, customer insights and experience. Supervise and monitor progress of the integrated platform program plan with measurable landmarks and goals. + Lead cross-functional teams through problem resolution including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action. Constructively challenge the team and the organization to rethink assumptions and approach headwinds in new ways. Independently resolve and pursue courses of action to obtain desired results. + Drive mechanisms and management techniques that ensure an open and transparent approach to the identification, communication and timely resolution of issues, risk, and challenges affecting program results. + Advocate for the customer with a focus on meeting or exceeding customer requirements by driving the team to make trade-offs that optimize customer and business value. + Collaborate with partners to tackle issues, provide metrics and forecast strategic changes. + Understand Scrum and all scrum ceremonies (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives, Sprint Reviews) for ongoing projects. ## Education and Experience + Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or other advanced business/management degree preferred. + At least 8 years of proven ability to lead sophisticated, multi-year new product development programs and robust cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization. + Experience in medical device industries, including FDA or other regulated environments. ## Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills + Highly effective interpersonal skills on a cross-cultural level with excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills, including engagement with Executive level management. + Highly skilled in the development and deployment of program management tools and techniques including methods for monitoring progress, risk management and delivery timelines. + Excellent team-building, leadership and mentorship skills and thrives in achieving success through others. + Proven ability to influence others outside of your direct authority to achieve desired results. + Successful leadership of complex programs delivering the right outcomes and balancing on-time delivery, budget, quality, market and customer expectations. + Adept at integrated program planning along with tactical project planning, risk management, project execution and communication to all levels of the organization. + Ability to take disparate data points to make sound business decisions and bring clarity to ambiguous situations. #LI-PRO Becton, Dickinson and Company is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
