BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Director, Global Marketing Management, Pyxis Pharmacy in San Diego, California
Job Description Summary
Reporting to the VP/GM MMS Dispensing the Director, Global Marketing Management, Pyxis Pharmacy is accountable for owning the strategic direction and execution of that strategy for the Pyxis Pharmacy business including Pyxis Logistics and IV Prep throughout the product lifecycle (inception, launch, in market, EOL). This person will lead across functions and regional business teams to drive the success of the business. This includes engaging in clinical partnership around evidence generation, commercial partnerships to provide new innovative solutions to the market, as well as the strategic roadmap for the products. They will be accountable for the financial performance of Pyxis Pharmacy solutions tied to strategic plan commitments.
Develop deep understanding of Pharmacy solutions business, market dynamics and drivers, customer needs and requirements as well as business needs and requirements
Lead definition and execution of Pyxis Pharmacy solution strategies for the market, including growth and innovation strategy, product lifecycle management, and delivery/service capacity planning
Develop and maintain product roadmap that integrates company financial objectives, market trends, technology enhancements and customer and business needs
Drive revenue growth, including current operating year and three-year Annual Strategic Plan.
Guide and direct engineering activities to ensure a timely and quality delivery to the market that meets customer and business objectives
Own the product lifecycle from requirements gathering through production and release, confidently evaluating and balancing risks & tradeoffs.
Work closely with the business staff to support a wide range of business growth activities, including commercial partnership, mergers and acquisitions, licensing and alliances
Lead launch & commercial planning for new & expansion offerings through close collaboration with the regional teams & other Functions.
Develop commercial go-to-market strategy working in collaboration with sales team, downstream marketing and Global Customer Service Organization, including but not limited too; market messaging, pricing, ROI/value realization, associate and customer training. Generating actionable customer insights to drive innovation.

Willingness and desire to work cross functionally to ensure success of the Pyxis Pharmacy Solutions
Understand BD’s multi-product landscape and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including product managers, SME’s, development and design leads, and software engineers.
Lead in-depth discovery conversations with customers to identify deep insights on common problems/needs, clearly articulating the voice of the customer.
Design and validate new customer-centric solutions and capabilities that create differentiated value for the organization’s portfolio.
Work to understand and eliminate complex technical, functional, and business problems, enabling the broader team to efficiently execute on the product.
Lead development of Marketing Plans for new solution offerings, outlining segment-specific Messaging & Positioning, understanding customers, profiles, & motivators.
Work with marketing, platform, customer service and sales organizations to ensure maximum penetration of market segments.
Education Qualifications & Previous Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in product management or marketing
Proven experience successfully commercializing products throughout the product lifecycle
In-depth knowledge of software development and release processes
Experience with both cloud/hosted and on-premise solutions preferred
Bachelor's Degree required. MBA preferred.
