Job Family Summary

Engineering Program/Project Management is responsible for managing the execution of programs and/or projects consisting of single or multiple projects and/or programs. May manage project and/or program managers within assigned program and/or project. Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.

What is expected of you for success in your role

  • Demonstrates sufficient knowledge of project management principles

  • Actively applies project management tools to independently manage small to large-sized projects

  • Understanding of key quality systems: i.e. change management, design reviews, V&V, design controls, and APQP

  • Manages multiple projects concurrently

  • Independently manages scope, time and resources of small to large scope projects, within predefined constraints

  • Strong leadership capabilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Online applications

  • Collaborates with others and builds effective working relationships; negotiates to build broad-based support and/or persuades others in order to influence important outcomes

  • Manages key projects supporting quality improvement, cost reduction, and end-of-life initiatives

  • Manages team members assigned to project

  • Facilitates team dialogue to identify all project risk, develops mitigation strategies/plans and works to have strategies in place should they be needed

  • Establishes and executes project communication plans

  • Negotiates conflict resolution when needed between team members

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, and written skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, leading engineering related projects (experience with electro-mechanical product development preferred)

  • Ability to manage and lead through influence

  • Ability to train and coach others from expertise and experience

  • Experience in managing and driving cross functional virtual teams

  • Proficient in MS Project

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • Technical background and experience

  • Experience with Compliance and Regulatory certifications

  • Project Management certification

  • Medical/Pharma experience

  • High level of energy, initiative, and results orientation

  • Lean/Six Sigma
