Job Description SummaryThis position will report to the Director of Marketing, Alaris Infusion Pump Sets. The Product Manager is accountable for the strategic and tactical product management of the Alaris System infusion pump sets platform. The role works closely with manufacturing operations in Mexico to ensure supply continuity to the global distribution centers. Drives brand and product marketing activities by defining the overall portfolio strategy and product roadmap, including product lifecycle management; leading the development and execution of global product marketing plans to produce maximum sales, growth and profitability with a focus on quality & customer satisfaction. In addition, this individual will be responsible for elevating the overall strategic thinking of the global team, defining new growth opportunities and executing effectively in a dynamic marketplace. Responsible product training and implementation of marketing programs in the regions.
The role is accountable for marketing work-stream deliverables supporting Sustaining, Value Capture, Line extension and R&D engineering projects. The role routinely interfaces with cross functional team resources including: Marketing (Global and Regional), Sales, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, Operations and Manufacturing.
Supports annual planning process to define and communicate global strategic, product development and operational direction for the product solution, and influences multifunctional resources to accomplish business objectives.
Defines and drives execution of the marketing strategy, product roadmap (including lifecycle management) and priorities for responsible product offering. Develops annual and long term product roadmaps, business cases, and marketing plans.
Manages all aspects of the global portfolio positioning, pricing and brand strategies. Consolidate global region input on trends and competition
Accountable for working with regional marketing counterparts to develop and execute regional strategies to ensure achievement of financial/ budget expectations
Accountable for demand management by developing recommendations on product sales forecasts and production inventory issues
Establishes and maintains a strong competitive position through strategic and tactical identification of marketing opportunities
Required Knowledge and Experience
Experience working in and/or leading teams in cross-functional environments and/or matrix organizations
Experience in identifying market opportunities, market segmentation, competitive analysis, forecasting, pricing strategy, market development and go to market models and strategies.
Typically requires a B.S. in a business-related discipline, with marketing specialization preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years of business experience, preferably in a medical industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Business experience may include marketing, sales, sales training, business development or other related function.
A general knowledge of the infusion /disposables market as well as the sales, operations and marketing functions is preferred.
Requires the ability to develop comprehensive business cases with detailed financial analysis.
Identify market opportunities, develop, implement and manage solutions, and provide subject matter expertise in complex situations
Communicate effectively and work extremely well with complex multidisciplinary teams; work collaboratively across all functions of the organization to ensure successful product development, market launch, and development
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be able to manage expectations and possess excellent organizational skills with the flexibility to readily adapt to change.
Must have excellent communication, presentation and writing skills (e.g. responsive, persuasive, and polished) and be comfortable communicating across various levels of stakeholders
