BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Manager, Manufacturing Infusion in San Diego, California
Job Description Summary
THE PRODUCTION MANAGER WILL HAVE RESPONSIBILITY FOR:
Manufacturing of electro mechanical medical devices.
Safety of the workers, achieving customer satisfaction, quality objectives and financial commitments through leading process improvements within the area of responsibility.
Lead and communicate with all partners’ cross-functionally in resourcing, executing, project management, performance reporting and decision-making process.

For area of responsibility:
Management responsibilities for direct reports, ensuring meeting Becton Dickenson policies/procedures and applicable laws.
Specific management responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Ensure delivery of products in time and at right quality according to production plan agreed with Global Supply.
Improve operational efficiency to achieve financial commitments, including implementation and governance of Enterprise Management System.
Assist in creating customer and contract performance measurement scorecard to identify efficiency and effectiveness improvements throughout the contracting life cycle.
Ensure weekly/monthly reporting of Strategy A3’s and related KPI’s.
Oversee product changes to ensure technical documentation and specification standards are followed. (Design transfer).
Knowledge concerning management- and EHS systems.
Very good knowledge in relevant quality documents and standards.
Strategy development and financial budgeting
Hands-on experience from having worked in a production system and/or an equivalent Enterprise Management System.
Becton Dickenson products and customers understand the final usage of the products.
Training in Becton Dickenson of Conduct and Ethics and Compliance.
Proven track record with successful results in continuous improvement

Good knowledge on the overall supply chain; R&D, manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, technical service and commercial.
Good knowledge on the tools and equipment required in area of manufacturing responsibility
Must be well versed in Continuous improvement fields
Knowledge of End to End Operations. Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business processes, QMS, etc.
Knowledge of GMPs, FDA guidelines, purchasing practices and
Must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills,
capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through
innovative thought and experience.
Ability to design and implement in own area of expertise.
Be involved in at least one industry interest group
Has demonstrated effective supervisory skills.
A passion for all aspects of manufacturing and a high interest in improving the overall supply chain.

Education and/or Experience:
B.S. Degree in Engineering Sciences or Industrial Technology, or significant related experience. Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a regulated industry. Minimum 2 years consistent record of being an outstanding, hands-on leader, mentor and manager of manufacturing teams. Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports, governmental regulations, quality systems and to present information to top management and other relevant partners.
