Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Senior Director, Field Service (FS) will be responsible for ensuring that all service functions are performed to meet or exceed customer expectations in terms of quality, reliability, cost effectiveness and timeliness within the guidelines established by corporate policies, standards, procedures, work instructions and governmental regulations. The FS organization is responsible for providing technical support to customers during installation, operation, maintenance, repair and improvement of medical devices.

Strategic Leadership and Visionary Direction:

  • Develop and articulate the strategic vision and direction for the US Region Field Service organization, aligning with the overall organizational goals and objectives.

  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative strategies and initiatives to enhance service delivery, optimize operational efficiency, and drive business growth through enabling the newly created Scheduled Services organization

  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to senior management and cross-functional teams on field service-related matters, fostering collaboration and alignment.

  • Lead change management strategy and implementation around the newly aligned Dispensing and Pharmacy Automation platforms within Field Serivce, focusing on cross-training and capability building and support with enablement from the also newly created Scheduled Services org

Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement:

  • Oversee all aspects of field service operations, including service planning, execution, and performance monitoring, to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and service innovation, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.

  • Monitor key performance indicators and service metrics to evaluate performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Leverage newly created Scheduled Services team to elevate scheduling, WFM, logistics, equipment,etc. capabilities across all product platforms

Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, senior management, and internal teams, to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for field service operations, addressing stakeholder inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a proactive and professional manner.

  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to align service offerings with market demands, customer expectations, and product/service enhancements.

Leadership Development and Talent Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of field service leaders, professionals, and overall organization over +300 associates providing strategic guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

  • Develop succession plans and talent pipelines to ensure a strong leadership bench and continuity of operations, while also promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team.

  • Provide clarity around the benefit of cross training wihthin the Field Service organization, not just for the connection of our customers but for the personal development of associates

Financial Management and Budget Oversight:

  • Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets, while also identifying cost-saving opportunities and revenue-generating strategies.

  • Monitor financial performance metrics, analyze variances, and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Partner with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment with organizational financial goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or additional relevant experience required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.

  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in field service operations, including significant leadership roles with demonstrated success in driving strategic initiatives and achieving business objectives.

  • Proven track record of visionary leadership, strategic planning, and execution, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Experience managing complex budgets, financial performance metrics, and operational KPIs, with a focus on maximizing profitability, ROI, and shareholder value.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with field service management software/systems.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Salary ranges have been implemented to reward associates fairly and competitively, as well as to support recognition of associates’ progress, ranging from entry level to experts in their field, and talent mobility. There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.

Salary Range Information

$181,300.00 - $326,300.00
