Medication Management Solutions

With our technical capabilities, the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team are able to manage multiple systems and our operational capabilities enable us to have medications available when and where needed, reducing inefficiency and waste for nursing and pharmacy teams.

About the role:

As a Staff Engineer in our Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team, you will utilize your extensive knowledge and experience in Mechanical Engineering to solve both novel and complex assignments that require the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Pursue complex problems by applying sound engineering principles, utilizing experimental, computational and analytical methods to a range of technical product development challenges for complex electromechanical assemblies.

  • Lead, or mentor junior associates in activities such as bench studies, tolerance stack up analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), design verification, validation, vendor interactions, materials specifications and component specifications.

  • Apply the best design practices, analysis, simulation and verification of subsystems and systems during product development.

  • Guide multi-function teams comprising of QA, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and Manufacturing team members by facilitating effective communication and engagement.

  • Improve product development agility and quality via the application of DFSS.

  • Champion design for reliability and design for manufacturing for in-house and strategic-partner developed designs.

  • Effectively present and communicate analysis to project teams and management, driving decisions and conclusions.

  • Assist project management in identifying and managing technical risk

  • Contribute to schedule development, resource planning, and milestone achievement predictability.

To be successful in this role, you require:

  • Experience as a leader in a highly-focused team environment on a large development project.

  • Experience working with external development partners or contract manufacturers.

  • Proven track-record of new product development.

  • Medical product experience a must, Infusion-therapy product experience desirable.

Education and experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree (MS preferred) plus 7 years related experience, or the equivalent in appropriate education and experience.
