The Business Transformation Project Manager is responsible for serving as a results-oriented, subject matter expert contributing to the improvement of the product development process and portfolio management practices. This is a key role in the execution and implementation of various initiatives to develop, introduce and sustain Product Delivery Excellence (PDE) Best Practices throughout BD Biosciences. This role provides subject matter expertise and consulting for the Business Transformation and Change Practice initiative which incorporates the following areas: corporate strategy, organization design, transformation management, change management and shared services/support functions. The Business Transformation Project Manager reports directly to the PMO Operations Manager and will support the entire PMO organization within BD Biosciences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary project sub-teams (including external consultant relationships) engaged in key company change programs. Provide subject matter expertise and industry best practices related to business transformation, engagement model and business continuity

  • Oversee or assist in training design, preparation, timing and facilitation for TFS, Agile, BD Global Product Delivery System (GPDS), Enterprise Standards, Best Practices, Lessons Learned and other areas related to business transformation as needed

  • Lead risk management reviews for the organization and provide guidance to the program manager on whether the outputs and outcomes will lead to the realization of the benefits

  • Create and continuously update a measurement system to determine the success of transformation initiatives

  • Partner cross functionally and ensure seamless service delivery and hand-offs from strategy and best practice formulation to execution

  • Leverage expertise serving as a resource in lean, agile, six sigma, continuous improvement, change management and other disciplines to help define future state/processes including business case, risk plan and target metrics to drive improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in new product development or manufacturing environment.

  • Minimum of 2-4 years cross-functional project management experience.

  • MS Project, MS Excel/Word highly preferred.

Assets:

  • Experience with structured phase-gate product development and portfolio management processes.

  • Experience in SAP and Product Development Systems.

  • Experience with Agile methodology preferred.
