Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Single Cell Multiomics Global Platform Leader, the Global Marketing Manager is accountable for the commercial launch and success of key products in the Single Cell Multiomics (scM) platform portfolio, with a heavy emphasis on global market development activities for BD Single Cell Multiomics. This role will be highly influential in developing the go to market strategy for BD’s Single Cell Multiomics business and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The role will be equally responsible for the strategy and tactical execution of marketing programs specific for the US region by working closely with the US region commercial team for the BD Rhapsody system to bring a full solution to Single Cell Multiomic customers. In addition, this person will be responsible for elevating the overall strategic thinking of the global and regional marketing teams, defining annual marketing strategies, and executing effectively in a rapidly evolving marketplace.

The role routinely interfaces with cross functional team resources including Global Platform Marketing, Regional Marketing, Sales, Customer support, R & D and Applications.

This role offers the opportunity to work a few days remotely and a few days on site in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the scM Platform Marketing Director, develops the global scM marketing plan on an annual basis.

  • Develops launch plans and demand generation programs in conjunction and consultation with Global Platform Marketing associates to create robust product pipelines that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

  • Collaborates with Global Marketing and Global Platform marketing to ensure marketing deliverables for campaigns and programs are delivered.

  • Is a core team member for Global scM Conferences.

  • Defines and drives execution of the marketing strategy and annual marketing plan for the US region to create awareness, demand, and conversion to exceed regional financial goals.

  • Develops and executes market development programs and engagements.

  • Develops content and strategies for promotional materials and programs, including sales aids, advertising, digital campaigns, and external events, while closely collaborating with the Marketing Communications team.

  • In conjunction with head of US scM commercial team and the Global Platform Leader, manages the annual, quarterly, and monthly product forecasts for the US region.

  • Effectively communicates value proposition of the products to US region sales team and develops sales tools that support regional selling process. Ability to understand and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial to drive revenue growth.

  • Develops expertise on customer buying criteria, market segmentation, competition to create strategies to win in the market.

  • Establishes and maintains a strong competitive position through strategic and tactical identification of marketing opportunities.

  • Actively seeks new ways to leverage BD’s Single Cell Multiomics portfolio of products and services to create solution based offerings

  • Develops VOC and market surveillance plans that feeds market and customer feedback to the Platform marketing teams, ensures referenceable customer sites, and influences future marketing plans.

  • Meets all marketing work-stream deliverables as required.

  • Establish KPIs and tracks performance against them.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree required with a focus in a Life Sciences discipline preferred. MBA and/or Master’s degree, Ph.D. in Immunology, Cancer Biology or related scientific discipline preferred.

  • Requires domain expertise in genomic or next generation sequencing applications with a preference towards the single cell field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a life science marketing role

  • Easily develops relationships and engagement with KOLs.

  • Scientific ability to build both biology and technology-based customer facing training decks and marketing collateral materials.

  • Specific understanding of single cell sequencing workflow is preferred.

  • High level of personal effectiveness with the ability to work effectively within and ability to lead a project team and the cross-functional organization to deliver on marketing plans.

  • Effective skills in areas of interpersonal, oral and written communication, organization, prioritization and planning, goal setting, analytical and problem solving.

  • Results-oriented, capable of managing and driving the completion of multiple competing projects.

Job Specific Requirements:

  • 20% domestic travel

There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.

Salary Range Information

$141,200.00 - $233,000.00
