The Sr. Director, Business Process Excellence is accountable for the overall performance of business processes, process governance, and the cross-functional implementation of global business strategies. Provides leadership oversight to ensure the process operating model drives integrated performance while meeting customer expectations. Leads and facilitates the development of annual functional strategic plans, goals and objectives in coordination with business leaders to align operational strategies.
In collaboration with functional and business leaders, the incumbent is responsible for conceptualizing and executing a roadmap to build organization capabilities around business continuity and operational excellence. In addition, this role is accountable for the execution of global cross-functional project teams in support of key operational objectives which may include change management efforts to ensure stabilization and sustainability for new business processes and systems. Decisions and recommendations are made in the face of uncertain and dynamic conditions, where errors in judgment may seriously impact customer or supplier relationships, result in substantial loss of scheduled production, deterioration of product/service quality, or seriously affect the financial position of the business unit.
Part of a high performing Operations leadership team that is expected to understand, contribute and lead the broader function. Each member of the team is expected to problem solve and manage the business beyond traditional functional roles. To this end, the incumbent needs to understand customer needs, both internal and external, and craft sustainable business solutions that can contribute to both top and bottom line growth. Works in a highly matrixed organization with responsibility to drive business performance across multiple sites, business units, and regions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Establishes programs and initiatives to effectively leverage various operating models with system functionality to optimize the BDX enterprise landscape, specifically ERP platforms and transitional work processes and systems. Drives and coordinates the development of efficient end-to-end work processes to drive business strategies across BDB platforms. Collaborating on a global level to ensure the establishment and review of regional requirements and business processes. Takes the leadership role in aligning the process and system to achieve the business strategy. Facilitates the development and implementation of the annual and long-term functional strategic plans, goals and objectives. Works collaboratively with BDB business and functional leaders to develop strategy including options and plans for execution. Ensures alignment with BDX business, functional and regional strategies. Provides advice and consultation to other Operations leaders regarding their strategic planning and functional objectives. Responsible for providing portfolio management leadership for Operations-related programs and projects. Accountable for the execution of large cross-functional, global programs in support of key operational objectives which may include product line transfers, operational capability development, new product development projects, new plant start-ups / expansions, outsourcing initiatives, acquisitions, etc. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to program master plans and schedules. Determines resources and skills necessary to implement assigned programs. Circulates resources, schedule and cost requirements, and design specifications to senior management and participating departments and obtains management approvals. Drives alignment and engagement for global programs within BDB Operations team, as well as across linked functional groups including, but not limited to, QA/RA, Marketing, R&D, Finance, IT, and Procurement. Responsible for the development of measurable metrics and reporting tools across the Operations function. Build the information delivery tools for the business to drive operational excellence. Manages the requirements definition, design specifications, and validation methodology to ensure the linkage of the report to the metrics and the business strategy. Oversees the master data organization responsible for configuration, validation, and data integrity of applicable systems. Builds a robust network globally for collaboration of learnings and ideas as well as to ensure the review of regional requirements and the alignment to business unit and/or functional global processes. Directs the development of budgets for their area of responsibility. Communicates, monitors and controls budgets through the planned period to ensure that goals are met and variances are controlled. Effectively implements all aspects of the Human Resources, People and Organizational Development responsibilities such as staffing, job assignments, organizational design, performance management, HR Planning, HR development, training, compensation planning, etc., to continuously build and maintain a trained, diverse, and engaged workforce. Keeps abreast of the US and non-US regulations affecting their area of responsibility and complies with those regulations. Supports and monitors safety goals and objectives. Supports the unit safety policies and procedures through leadership and holding staff accountable to maintain proper Safety Management. Participates in EH&S programs. Performs other related duties and assignments as required. Travel may be required up to 40% of the time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field of study. MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.
Strong lean/six sigma background is a must.
Minimum 10+ years of business experience with practical experience with enterprise systems (e.g. ERP, Sales and Service systems). Experience with due diligence and integration planning for M&A is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate, consult, and/or lead teams and drive for results in a matrixed global environment. Ability to collaborate and navigate through all levels of the organization to influence outcomes.
Must possess good interpersonal, coaching and communication skill to work effectively across geographies and cultures.
Proven track record in leading change and achieving results.
