Job Description Summary

Achieve effective utilization of Supplier Warranty for the parts and assets used in the Global Service Organization. Create, own, and improve workflows, processes, metrics, and dashboards for supplier warranty. Manage and control the process for repair of parts /assets that break down during supplier warranty. Identify, evaluate, and qualify opportunities at vendors for the paid repair of parts /assets that break down after the warranty period. Review process and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and maximize ROI.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, own, and execute the process for warranty program and paid repair at the supplier – this will involve significant effort and communication with the repair center, regional service, global service, sourcing, global supply chain, corporate resources, and vendors. The most important deliverable is enabling Service Organization to recover cost from vendors when parts fail within the warranty period. Another important deliverable is to reduce cost by executing paid repair at vendors when parts fail after the supplier warranty period has ended. Create and present metrics and dashboards.

  • Create and review SOPs, procedures, documentation, and engineering change orders (ECO /ECR). Extend parts to SAP. Participate in corrective and preventative action efforts.

  • Work with vendors to create shipment plans, monitor adherence to shipment plans, and update the ERP system as items ship. Pursue opportunities for cost savings with vendors, manage vendor relationships, and track vendor performance.

  • Support the Company’s vendor selection programs to ensure that the best suppliers are secured. Support the development of supplier strategies, bid packages, contracts, and opportunities to consolidate suppliers, drive efficiencies, add value and reduce the cost of products and services.

  • Collaborate with internal business owners to understand their vendor relationships and help drive efficiency and quality, primarily through Regularly Scheduled Business Reviews (QBRs).

  • Assist with organization-wide strategies that govern Supplier Diversity/Equity/Inclusion programs to maximize opportunities and mitigate risk.

  • Support inventory control, parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products, third-party warehousing, and general projects.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, leadership, and executives, with the ability to influence decisions to achieve business goals.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Typically requires a BS degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or Engineering. Master’s Degree will be a plus.

  • 1-4+ years of Vendor or Supplier Analysis /Management experience in high tech manufacturing, engineering, service, or repair environment.

  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office productivity tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have good interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, negotiation, and time management.

  • Must have good project management experience and continuous improvement efforts with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to be effective with minimal direction. Recognizes problems and addresses them without waiting to be instructed to do so.

  • Ability to work with worldwide Teams in different time zones.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in some of the following applications: SAP ERP, SAP BI, MS Teams, MS Project.

  • Advanced MS Excel skills – Macro, Pivot Table, Data Entry Utility, VBA.

  • Proven ability to analyze /interpret data, and drive improvements.

  • Proficiency with Pipefy or similar Workflow management software.

  • Experience to develop, write, and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Engineering Change Orders (ECR /ECR).

  • 6 Sigma green or black belt. Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and reach.

  • Ability to view computer monitor and use keyboard for prolonged period.

  • Ability to sit for prolonged period, handling, using hands and fingers, listening, near vision, midrange vision in connection with performing essential functions.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (less than 10%)
