The Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining existing customer relationships and expanding business through strategic account management of key accounts in his/her area of responsibility. The role requires good understanding of customers’ needs and priorities as well as thorough knowledge of BD Biosciences (BDB) product lines. The position involves establishing and cultivating long-term client partnerships by providing clinical and economic value to customers. This includes working collaboratively with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales manager, marketing manager, application manager, SVC manager and other resources) to meet customer requirements and deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
Product portfolio: BDB Instrument (Flow cytometer), Reagent, software, multiomics solution and service
Responsibilities
Manage assigned territory and accounts independently to achieve financial targets and grow sales within established guidelines
Understanding the bio market and the characteristics of customers, establishing/implementing differentiated sales strategies according to the growth stage of the company
Manage distributors and data-driven approach to sales forecasting, pipeline management to generate revenue and secure future sales opportunities for sustainable revenue growth
Develop strong expertise in the BDB products to support the various sales & marketing activities including presentation, instrument demonstration at site, market research, key thoughtful leader support, congress support, etc
Support new products launch on time
Collect, compile, verify data on market trends, customer needs and competitor activity and communicate to the internal team
Provide approved BD product information and related services to customers rapidly and inform them about the usage and advantage of BD product.
Develop adequate short/long term sales opportunity in SFDC(SalesForce.com) and submit all required reporting regarding performance and accurate sales forecasts on time.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field (Master's or equivalent experience preferred).
3-5 years of sales experience in the life sciences or biotechnology industry, with a focus on molecular/cell biology or instrument technology.
Experience working with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and managing relationships with large accounts such as hospitals, research institutions, etc.
Knowledge and Skills:
Market Knowledge: Korean immunology/oncology market and Korean biotech including trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements.
Results & performance-driven: personal ownership and accountability for business results and solutions, customer central in finding solutions for business, good at gaining commitment and closing, work with sense of urgency
Must be motivated to achieve individual and team sales targets.
Must be a teammate with the ability to coordinate necessary individuals from various functions such as Marketing, application and SVC team to achieve solution sales.
Communication & Negotiation: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels and build long-lasting customer relationships.
Customer Focused: Ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions
Ability to travel frequently to customer sites within designated geographic region
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Intermediate English communication skill is required.
