This position exists to drive regional marketing analytics and operation excellence via upholding commercial effectiveness and projection accuracy e in BD IDS CASAJ. The associate will take an analytical approach to develop, drive, communicate, and implement commercial effectiveness and excellence strategies that leverage capabilities and inputs from IDS CASAJ marketing, global, country commercial leaders, finance, supply chain and other functional leads. This associate needs to work closely with marketing team to understand the needs, identify the challenges, and optimize workflow, to strengthen data collection and reporting efficiency and capability. This associate will be responsible for daily marketing operation, Project RECODE, and Pricing strategy. This associate is accountable for developing best in class commercial analytics capabilities towards driving strategic business decisions in the region. The associate will promote a culture of analytics in CASAJ teams to foster connected thinking, drive business performance and uncover business optimization opportunities for regional and country commercial teams.
Commercial Analytics Strategy & Effectiveness
Partner directly with CASAJ marketing, finance, supply chain partners and country business leaders to provide analytics support and recommendations to facilitate data-driven decision making, performance measurement and tracking of key business metrics. These include leading pricing excellence, project recode, install base updates, run rate management, funnel / pipeline management, win / loss analysis and customer segmented analysis.
Perform in-depth pricing & GP analysis of IDS portfolio products across countries, to identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to identify improvements. Ensuring country pricing / product strategies are in line with overall regional/global guidelines.
Ongoing market assessment and analysis to determine market potential, size and growth for IDS’s products and the competitive environment.
Lead regular cadence of data-driven reviews to coordinate and prepare for commercial analytics deliverables in 3-year strategic planning, budgeting, projections, MBRs, QBRs and executive reviews.
Conduct ad-hoc or sustaining business analysis to drive recommendations and strategic / tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge, to support IDS’s Go-To-Market strategies.
Promote a culture of analytics in CASAJ teams to foster connected thinking, drive business performance and uncover optimization opportunities for regional and country commercial teams. Identify knowledge gaps and partner across the organization to continuously improve business insights via new data capture, analysis, market analysis, data collection, etc.
Desirable but not critical: ability to develop predictive models to generate forecasts and other forward-looking insights to support business decision-makers.
Commercial Excellence & portfolio projects
Responsible for Project RECODE, Pricing and daily marketing operation.
Lead and provide ongoing support of commercial excellence initiatives including but not limiting to adoption of SFDC, customer segmentation, omnichannel business analytics, price improvements and global key accounts metrics.
Continuously evaluate and deploy feasible, effective leading / lagging indicators that clarify performance in marketing, sales force, service and customer support excellence.
Support strategic projects in optimizing lead time, SKUs and portfolio rationalization.
Educational Qualifications & Previous Experience
Minimum 5 years’ in business analytics and strategic marketing / business development, preferably in life sciences, biotech / medtech or biopharma industries.
Preferably a MSc or MBA with a Bachelor’s degree in science, business or engineering discipline, with a focus in marketing and/or sales management.
Proven business experience in managing regional / multiple markets.
Demonstrated experience using analytics to contribute to key business objectives. Ability to assimilate large amount of data from different sources and synthesize actional business recommendations.
Ablility to leverage best data visualization tools to illustrate business stories, outcomes and next steps.
Outstanding communication skills and able to convey complex ideas succinctly.
Strong team player and cross-functional leader to execute solutions requiring inputs from multiple stakeholders.
Strategic and creative thinker with strong analytical and statistically sound judgement skills. Able to adopt a systematic approach to address complicated problems.
Experience in implementing sales force effectiveness and other commercial excellence initiatives.
Adept in advanced excel, PowerBI / Tableau, SFDC and SAP.
