Job Description Summary
KEY RESULT AREAS:
1 ASSESSING MARKET POTENTIAL & SETTING OBJECTIVES
Implement plans to achieve/exceed sales budget.
Analyze sales and market data and set measurable project objectives.
Establish and maintain accurate overall market information relating to size, trends, selling prices and promotional programmes.
Carry out market survey and gather important information on our products and competitors’.
Develop and grow market share of products within the assigned area.
Organise promotional campaigns and co-ordinate all aspects of product advertising.
2 TERRITORY MANAGEMENT:
Exercise effective time and territory management.
Achieve sales and profit targets of products at the areas assigned, and develop market share.
Create demand for new products to enter the market.
Develop and maintain accurate account and territory records.
Ensure maximum coverage of all accounts within territories to maintain optimum level of exposure and effective time management.
Develop business plans which identify opportunities within current customer base and help formulate sales strategies in conjunction with Business Unit Manager.
Formulate call plans so as to anticipate and prepare for customer requests and queries.
Build good relationship with distributors on assigned area and work together with them to achieve sales and profit target.
Provide guidance and training for distributors’ sales forces and customers.
Educate customers and ensure that products are understood and used effectively.
Budget and control expense and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Make sales contracts for new accounts based on company policies and procedures.
3 INFLUENCING & SELLING
Develop and maintain professional selling skills
Communicate and maintain effective working relationships
Respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints in a prompt and effective manner.
Develop and maintain productive working relationships within a company to ensure maximum sales support and maintain a high level of customer service.
Contribute to the development of a strong team effort.
5 SELF DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE
Develop, maintain and display professional selling skills and product knowledge
Recognize and understand competitors, products, features, strengths in relation to company’s products.
Participate in product and skills development programs, managing own self development.
Evaluate and improve job skills continually.
Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the medical device industry
Sales experience in related medical device business preferred
Sales experience in multinational companies preferred
Good command of English
Must be a team player and result-oriented
