Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Planning, the Associate Director Global Supply Chain Planning will design and implement cost effective differentiated supply chain solutions to help the global POC platform strengthen the core and capitalize distinct opportunities for supply chain optimization. Specific emphasis and responsibility reside with Supply, Capacity, and Inventory Planning. Provides Planning leadership and direction for all BD manufactured and third party supplied finished goods. Partners with BDX Supply Chain Shared Service functions: Customer Service, Distribution and Transportation in insuring businesses Supply Chain needs are met in a cost-effective manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Drive prompt resolution Global Supply watchouts by working closely with Manufacturing & logistics teams

  • Lead Global Backorder, Global delivery and Inventory performance for IDS POC

  • Participate as a member of and Supply Chain leader for IDS POC

  • Develop supply chain strategies to deliver efficiencies in service, cost and cash

  • Support Integrated Financial Reconciliation of Global Demand and Global Supply. This includes reconciling Financial forecast units with Operations / Supply Chain units planned in SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) system

  • Own Plant Volume Variance performance (units & dollars) for plant budget meetings and quarterly plant reforecast meetings. This includes ensuring global plant volumes are aligned to demand plans and inventory targets

  • Champion Supply Chain Cost to Win programs to transform our cost structure over the Annual Strategic Review (ASR) period

  • Sponsor Supply Chain Process Improvement & Continuous Improvement (CI) programs, including SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) system utilization and new functionality roll-out across SCM and business intelligence (BI) space

  • Support Global Supply Chain initiatives, including supply chain project planning, master data accuracy, data validation strategies and integrated testing plans

  • Create Human Resource Planning (HRP) roadmaps and career blueprints for global supply chain associates

  • Drive associate engagement through Supply Chain rewards and recognition program

  • Responsible for overall build plan for plants within direct responsibility.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a similar supply chain/operations function

  • Experience with Demand Planning, ERP, MRP and Advanced Planning systems required

  • In depth knowledge of business process, with a focus on Manufacturing/Operations and Integrated Supply Chain process.

  • Process Management and efficiency

  • Customer centric focus and global orientation

  • Change management

  • Ability to work independently , lead teams and drive for results

  • Ability to successfully interface with all levels of the organization and influence at multiple levels

  • Strong collaboration with ability to lead in a matrix organization

  • Strong business acumen

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and multicultural environment

  • EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or other relevant academic background.

  • CERTIFICATIONS: ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.

  • OTHER : Ability to work across US & Chinese time zones, when necessary to ensure coordination across various teams
