BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Events/Trade Show Planner in Sparks, Maryland
Job Description Summary
The Events/Trade Show Planner is responsible for executing selected trade show planning and logistics. This position is also responsible for providing administrative support when needed for Sales and Marketing. A significant amount of time will be focused on tracking milestones related to projects in support of trade-show planning and logistics.
This position is based in Sparks, Maryland.
Manage trade show schedule and corresponding logistics, including: event research, booking trade show booth and instruments, overseeing booth space and shipping needs, securing personnel travel and lodging arrangements
Partner with marketing team to develop and execute BD DS branding strategy through booth design, event activities, attendee engagement and support meetings logistics
Partner with BD Corporate COE for Tradeshows to assure alignment and collaboration across business units
Maintain and proactively manage annual tradeshow budget
Travel to trade shows to support sales and marketing team
Provide support for lead management.
Support marketing operations through collateral approval processing, collating marketing metrics for internal and external reporting, and other tasks as needed
Bachelor’s degree required
Tradeshow planning experience (3-4 years)
Demonstrated time management skill across various sized projects
Ensure accurate and timely entering and tracking of administrative tasks and budgets
Manage to a pre-defined budget
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective organization, planning and follow-up skills.
Effective analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Deadline and detail-oriented
Flexibility to travel nationwide when needed up to 30%
